Accident on I-5 Kills Man near Sacramento

February 22, 2014- Eight days after a crash, a Sacramento man dies from an injury that was caused by a tire smashing through his windshield.  The accident occurred on Friday, February 14th.

The driver was 31 year old Kyle Hubbard.  He was driving north on Interstate 5, when a wheel came off a tractor trailer vehicle that was traveling in the southbound lanes.  The tire flew across the freeway's divide and went through Hubbard's window.  There was a passenger in his car, but they were not hurt.

The CHP reported that Kyle received major head trauma, and passed away in the hospital on Saturday.

The collision is still under investigation.

Pontiac Rear-ends Big Rig on Road 124

September 1, 2011- A Pontiac Grand Prix was involved in a crash on Road 124 north of Avenue 328, near Visalia, on Thursday. John Penner, of Visalia, the driver of the Pontiac, was arrested on suspicion of DUI after his car crashed into the back of a semi truck carrying a tractor. Both vehicles were driving south on Road 124, when the accident happened.

March 18 wrongful death trailer truck accident kills Turlock man

On March 18 John Jurevich of Turlock died in an accident involving his tractor trailer in the Bay Area. Reportedly his tractor-trailer hit a tree and turned over on a freeway ramp in San Leandro. The accident did not seem to involve any other vehicles and slowed traffic for hours. Further information about the accident are unavailable at this time.

May 21 Highway 99 wrongful death accident near Fowler

On May 21 a man was killed in an accident on Highway 99 at Adams Avenue near Fowler. Reportedly he was following a tractor-trailer in his Ford Mustang when he drove under the tractor-trailer. Antonio Balderas was the driver of the tractor-trailer. Balderas said he did not realize the car had hit him at first and he dragged the car for awhile before stopping. The man in the Mustang died at the scene of the accident. www.nelsonrozier.com
