Fresno Police Officer Involved in Car Accident near Highway 180, on Fulton Street

On Tuesday, August 25, 2015, a police truck was involved in a car accident, in Fresno.  The patrol vehicle collision happened on Fulton Street and Highway 180 on-ramp, at about 5:30 AM.

Reports said that a Fresno K9 Ford F-150 truck was headed south on Fulton Street, when the officer received a call about another accident.  The officer turned on his lights and siren and started to respond to the other incident.  The pickup truck entered the intersection of Fulton and the westbound Highway 180 on-ramp.

At that time a woman was driving a red Chevy Cavalier sedan, headed west to the on-ramp, with a green light.  The two vehicle crashed into each other.

The woman in the Chevrolet suffered moderate injuries.  She was taken by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center, for treatment.

The Fresno officer also sustained moderate injuries.  The police dog was not hurt.

Police K9 Vehicle Crash on Fulton Street, in Fresno

August 25, 2015- A patrol car collision occurred on Tuesday, in Fresno.  The automobile accident took place on Fulton Street, at approximately 5:30 AM.

A Fresno Police K9 unit, in a Ford F-150 truck, was traveling on Fulton, near the Highway 180 on-ramp.  The officer wast headed to another call at Cedar Avenue and Golden State Boulevard.  It is reported that he turned on the truck's lights and sirens and drove into the intersection.

 At that time a red Chevrolet Cavalier, was in the intersection when the police officer's K9 truck drove through.  The two vehicles collided.

The female driver of the Chevy sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, for treatment.

The officer received injuries as well, but is expected to be OK.

Crash Involving Police Car in Fresno Ends Up in Canal

March 15, 2014- A car crash that involved a Fresno patrol car winding up in a canal, happened just after 10 PM, on Saturday.

The car accident occurred in Fresno, California, at the intersection of Blackstone Avenue, and Shields Avenue.

Officers reported that a 79 year old man drove through a red light and broadsided a K9 unit's police car.  The patrol car rolled over until it landed into a nearby canal.  The police officer was able to get out of his vehicle and rescue his dog.

The officer did not appear to have any injuries, nor was his police dog seriously injured.  The driver of the other vehicle was majorly hurt, with injuries to his leg and arm.  He was last listed in serious condition.
