September 3, 2011- A motorcyclist sustained major injuries on Saturday after failing to maneuver a turn, and being thrown from his bike.
The driver of the motorcycle, Charles Boilfing of Hanford, was traveling north on Highway 245, when he lost control around a curve at Avenue 380, just north of Elderwood, 30 minutes from Visalia. Boilfing’s 2003 Buell motorcycle then skidded into the dirt and struck an olive tree, causing him to be thrown.
Officers stated that Boilfing’s speed was about 40 mph when his bike hit the tree. He suffered major injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
