Car Collision Ends in Fatality for Pedestrian, in Visalia, on Dinuba Boulevard

Update to pedestrian accident on Thursday, July, 2, 2105, in Tulare County.  The Visalia man that was hit and killed in a car collision has been identified.  The vehicle crash occurred at about 10 PM.

Antonio Contreras Campos, 56 years old, was crossing Dinuba Boulevard, near Vine Avenue, when he was struck by a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis.  The Mercury, driven by Genaro Diaz Cabrera, 38 years old, was southbound on Dinuba Ave, at the time of the accident.

Campos suffered major injuries and was taken by helicopter to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.  He was pronounced dead in the hospital.

Cabrera was not injured in the incident.

Pedestrian Killed in Traffic Accident on Dinuba Boulevard, in Visalia

July 2, 2015- A pedestrian accident ends in fatality in Tulare County, on Thursday.  The car collision occurred in Visalia, on Dinuba Boulevard, at approximately 9:45 PM

A man in his 40's was crossing Dinuba Boulevard, just south of Vine Avenue.  At that time a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis, driven by Genaro Diaz Cabrera, 38, was headed south on Dinuba.

The Mercury hit the pedestrian, which resulted in fatal injuries.  The man was airlifted Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno, where he was pronounced dead.

Cabrera was not hurt.

The accident is under investigation.
