Two Fatalities in Car Collision near Pratt Road in Tulare

September 1, 2014- Two men were killed after driver tried to flee from Tulare County Sheriff's deputy on Monday.  The car accident happened in Tulare, at about 6:55 PM.

The 34 year old driver was traveling in a 1996 Cadillac near Pratt Road and Avenue 216, trying to evade an officer.  The automobile swerved out of control, rolled over, and hit a power pole.

Two passengers in the vehicle; a 32 year old man, and Angel Mata, also 32 years old, were ejected from the vehicle.

The driver and one passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.  Angel Mata sustained moderate injuries.  He was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia, for treatment.

Update: One Killed and Others Injured in a Crash in Bakersfield

December 14, 2011- An update to the fatal crash that happened in Bakersfield on Truxtun Avenue, Wednesday, at about 1:04 PM. The accident happened between a Cadillac and a medical transport van.

Both wheelchair passengers have been reported to have been securely fastened, with the chairs strapped down, and the passengers secured in seat belts. One of them was killed and the other majorly injured.

The driver of the Cadillac has been identified at Helen Louise Watson Patterson. While the driver of the van was Desiree Rene Foglesong.

The van is owned by Valley Medical Transport.

One Killed and Others Injured in a Crash in Bakersfield

December 14, 2011- One person was killed and two others injured in a crash, on Wednesday in Bakersfield, at about 1:04 PM.

An older woman was driving a silver Cadillac east on Truxtun Avenue, when she tried to turn north onto Westwind Drive. She pulled right into the path of a medical transportation van that was taking three passengers west on Truxtun. Two of those passengers were wheelchair bound.

The impact from the collision caused the van to leave the road and run up into a disabled access ramp, finally coming to rest after hitting a tree outside of Camino Real restaurant.



A woman passenger died in an ambulance as it was on its way to Kern Medical Center. Another woman from the van suffered serious injuries and was also taken to Kern Medical. It is reported that she is in critical condition. Both women were the ones that were in wheelchairs.

The woman who was driving the van, and a male passenger were not injured in the accident.

The Cadillac driver received moderate injuries and was also taken to the hospital.

Update: High Speed Chase on Highway 99 Ends in a Crash near Bakersfield

December 1, 2011-  A mother and her two kids were trapped inside a car during a high speed chase, that ended in a crash. The accident occurred on Highway 99 near Bakersfield, Thursday night.

LaJohn Richardson was driving his Cadillac, with passenger Sheila Early, and her sons' Jeremiah and Terryion, and also her brother. As they were leaving Tulare to head home to Fresno, Richardson drove south onto Highway 99, instead of north.

A Kern County Sheriff's deputy clocked the Cadillac at about 100 mph, and tried to pull him over. Deputies broke off the chase, but Richardson just kept going.

Richardson lost control of his vehicle and flipped several times on Hwy 99 near a dairy.


Richardson suffered major injuries and was medi-flighted to Kern Medical Center.

Early, her two boys, and her brother were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

LaJohn Richardson faces charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license, and child endangerment.

Update: Motorcycle and Car Crash Kills Two on Friant Road

October 17, 2011- An update to the crash that happened on Sunday killing two people, on Friant Road in Fresno County. The two victims have been identified.

The accident happened at about 2:05 PM when a motorcyclist, identified at Tung Nguyen of Fresno, hit a Cadillac as it was making a left turn into a private driveway of a winery.

The Cadillac was driven by Arthur Mooshagian, of Fresno. He received minor injuries. Mooshagian’s sister in law was the passenger in the car. She has been identified as Janet Mooshagian also of Fresno.

Janet and Nguyen, who was thrown from his motorcycle, were pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

Motorcycle and Car Crash Kills Two on Friant Road

October 16, 2011- Two people died Sunday afternoon on Friant Road in Fresno County after a motorcycle and car crashed. The accident occurred at about 2 PM near Willow Avenue.

The crash happened as a northbound red Cadillac sedan was making a left hand turn into a private driveway for a fruit stand and winery along Friant Road. The motorcyclist was riding at a high speed when he collided with the passenger side of the Cadillac.

The impact from the crash killed the motorcyclist who is said to be in his mid-20’s and the elderly woman who was the passenger in the car.

The driver of the Cadillac was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.


It is reported that the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet and the occupants in the car did have on their safety restraints.

The accident is under investigation to determine who was at fault.

Accident in Delhi, CA Leads to 9 Year Old's Death

August 8, 2011- On Monday night near the town of Delhi, a 9 year old was killed and two other children were injured when they were struck by a car, while walking along the street.

The CHP said Manuel Mercado of Delhi, was driving his Cadillac west on Oak Street near Sycamore. The kids were walking on the north edge of Oak Street near Sycamore, when Mercado’s vehicle stuck all three.

Lenny Sanchez, 13, and Marlene Guerrero suffered minor and moderate injuries, respectively. The 9 year old, who has not been identified at this time, died at UC Davis Medical Center.
