Bus Collision on Highway 190 and Plano Street in Porterville

September 30, 2014- A traffic collision between a bus and automobile in Tulare County, leaves cars backed up at a busy highway intersection.  The vehicle accident took place in Porterville, on Tuesday, at about 2:36 PM.

A Porterville City Bus was traveling south on Plano Street.  As it entered the intersection of Highway 190 and Plano St., a Cal Fire engine drove by with its lights and sirens on.  The driver of the bus pulled to the side, while still in the intersection to let the fire truck pass.

At that time the signal light at the intersection changed to red, and the light turned green for traffic traveling on Highway 190.  A car driving east on Hwy 190 drove into the intersection and hit the bus.

The driver of the four-door sedan sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.  A passenger in the bus, also received injuries and was taken to the hospital as well.

Two Pedestrians Hit in Car Accident on Plano Street in Porterville

Visalia Nursing Home Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident report; On Wednesday, August 27, 2014, a double pedestrian accident took place in Porterville.  The Tulare County collision occurred at about 8:30 AM.

A 52 year old female, and 37 year old woman, were walking west on Plano Street, crossing within a marked crosswalk.  The pedestrians were on the north side of the intersection of Plano, and Olive Avenue.

A car was traveling eastbound on Olive Avenue, and made a northbound turn onto Plano St.  The vehicle failed to see the two women crossing the street and hit both of them.

The 52 year old pedestrian sustained moderate injuries, and was taken to Sierra View District Hospital, in Porterville.  The other woman, and the driver of the automobile were reported to not have been hurt in the crash.

Porterville Multiple Vehicle Accident at Plano Street in Parking Lot

August 12, 2014- A mulitple vehicle collision happened in Tulare County.  The automobile accident occurred in Porterville, on Tuesday morning.

A silver Toyota car was driving in the Vallarta grocery store parking lot, at Plano Street and Olive Avenue, at a high rate of speed.  The Toyota ran a stop sign and smashed into a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV.  The car then hit two parked cars.

The driver of the Toyota, and two passengers in the Hyundai suffered injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
