Service Truck and Van Collide in Porterville, on Putnam Avenue

August 7, 2015- A vehicle collision involving a van took place in Tulare County, on Friday.  The service truck accident happened in Porterville, in the afternoon hours.

A silver Ford van was northbound on Third Street when it ran a stop sign at the intersection of Putnam Avenue.  The driver reported that a water bottle got stuck under the brake pedal, which caused him to enter the intersection without stopping.

The van was struck by a Modern Plumbing Supply Company truck that was driving west on Putnam Ave.  Upon collision the Ford came to rest at a local church.

The Modern Plumbing truck driver sustained moderate injuries, including a hurt leg, and was taken to Sierra View Medical Center, in Porterville.

The van's driver turned down medical attention at the scene of the accident.

Van Collision at Putnam Avenue and Third Street, in Porterville

Porterville, Visalia, Tulare Collision Attorney John L. Rozier has the following accident report; On Friday, August 7, 2015, a van accident occurred in Porterville.  The truck crash took place at Third Street and Putnam Avenue.

Reports said that a man was driving a silver Ford van headed north on Third Street.  The van failed to stop at the stop sign, at the Putnam Avenue intersection.  A water bottle became lodged, according to reports, under the brake pedal, which prevented the vehicle from stopping.

In the intersection the Ford was hit by a Modern Plumbing Supply Company service truck, that had been westbound on Putnam.  After impact the van then ended up at the side of the Church of God of Prophecy.

The truck's driver suffered moderate injuries to his leg.  He was taken by ambulance to Sierra View Medical Center.

The driver of the van refused medical attention at the scene of the incident.

2-Car Collision at Road 228 and Avenue 184, near Porterville

On Monday, August 3, 2015, a car collision happened in Tulare County.  The 2-vehicle accident occurred near Porterville, at around 3:20 PM.

A Buick LaCrosse, with male and female occupants, and a Chevrolet Malibu, with two adults and a child inside, where involved in the crash.  It is reported that one of the automobiles was traveling east on Avenue 184.

The other sedan was headed north on Road 228.  At the intersection the two vehicles crashed into eachother.  Authorites said that it looked like the cars hit front end to front end.

The Chevy and Buick both ended up at the side of the roadway, in an olive orchard.

Three people, including the juvenile, were hurt.  Their injuries ranged from minor to moderate.  They were taken by ambulance to Sierra View Medical Center, in Porterville.

Car Accident in Porterville, Injures Three, on Road 228 and Avenue 184

Tulare County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following collision report; On Monday, August 3, 2015, an automobile accident occurred, near Porterville.  The car crash took place at approximately 3:20 PM.

The CHP have reported that one sedan was eastbound on Avenue 184.  At the same time another sedan was traveling north on Road 228.  Road 228 has a posted stop sign at the intersection.

The vehicles involved were a Buick LaCrosse, carrying a man and a woman.  And a Chevy Malibu, which was carrying two adults and one juvenile.  The Buick was said to have collided with the Chevrolet.  Both cars came to rest in an olive orchard at the side of the roadway.

Officers are still working out the details of the accident.  They said it appears that the vehicles collided front end to front end.

Three of the victims, including the child, sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.  They were taken to Sierra View Medical Center, in Porterville.

Tulare County Car Accident on Highway 190, West of Porterville

Tulare County Automobile Collision Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident to report; On Thursday, July 30, 2015, a two-vehicle crash happened near Porterville.  The car collision occurred on Highway 190, at around 10:50 AM.

A white Ford Taurus, driven by Yeraldin Navarette, 21, of Lathrop, was traveling west on Highway 190, nearing Road 200.  The vehicle turned to the right, toward Road 200, then veered back around onto the highway.

At that time a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, driven by Peter Dutton, of Springville, was driving on Hwy 190, behind the Ford.  When Navarette drove back onto the highway, the Toyota crashed into the driver's side of the Taurus.

Navarette and a 5 year old boy who was an occupant in the Ford, suffered severe injuries.  The child was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.  The driver was taken by ambulance to the same hospital.

Dutton was unharmed.

Fatal Mobility Scooter Accident, on Gibbons Street, in Porterville

Tulare County Wrongful Death Lawyer John Rozier has the following collision report; On Monday, June, 2015, a Porterville woman was killed in a mobility scooter accident.  The vehicle accident happened on Gibbons Avenue, at approximately 9:10 PM.

Mary Mutchler, 46 years old, was riding in an electric mobility scooter within the eastbound lane of Gibbons Avenue, west of Plano Street.  Sonia M. Castillo, 39, was traveling at about 40 mph, headed east on Gibbons, in a 2015 Honda.

The Honda struck the scooter and fatally injured the pedestrian.  Mutchler died at the scene of the collision.

The accident is under investigation.

Semi Truck Collision on Avenue 208 And Road 204, in Tulare County

On Tuesday, May 26, 2015, a Strathmore man was hurt in a car accident, that occurred in Tulare County.  The big rig collision happened in Porterville, at about 2:30 PM.

A 1999 Chevy, driven by Raymundo E. Garcia, 27 years old, was southbound on Road 204, near Avenue 208.  The Chevrolet ran a stop sign at the intersection, and crashed into a 1990 Peterbilt semi truck, driven by Gelasio Gomez, 49, of Porterville, was traveling west on Avenue 208.  It is reported that the semi was driving at about 50 mph when the vehicles collided.

Garcia suffered injuries and was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia, for treatment.

Automobile Collision at North E Street and Grand Avenue, in Porterville

On Friday, May 22, 2015, a car collision leaves one woman injured in Tulare County.  The automobile accident happened in Porterville, at about 12:10 PM.

A young male driver, of a black Audi, was headed east on Grand Avenue.  Another vehicle, a black Honda, driven by a female driver, was on North E Street, where the road curves into Grand Ave., across the street from Zalud Park.

For an unknown reason, the Audi smashed into the Honda right at the curve of the roadway, in the northbound lane on E Street.  The collision pushed the woman's auto into a parked pickup truck, which moved the truck five feet from its original position.

Both cars received extensive damage.

The Honda driver suffered injuries and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Pedestrian Killed in Pickup Truck Accident on Highway 65, in Porterville

On Thursday, May 21, 2015, a pedestrian was hit and killed after a truck collision on Highway 65.  The Tulare County vehicle accident happened in Porterville, at around 9:45 PM.

The 45 year old woman was walking onto Highway 65, north of Olive Avenue.  A Toyota Tacoma, driven by Kenneth Stroub, 40 years old, was headed south on the highway, when the woman was struck.

The pedestrian died at the scene of the incident.

Multiple Vehicle Accident on Highway 190 in Porterville

Tulare County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident report; On Thursday, April 30, 2015, a three-vehicle collision occurred in Porterville.  The motorcycle crash happened on Highway 190, at about 11:40 AM.

The CHP reported that a Jeep, driven by Billy Joe Barrett, 72, of Porterville, was traveling west on Highway 190.  The Jeep veered off the highway, and smashed into the back of a Tulare County truck, filled with road signs, that was parked on the shoulder of the road.

The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to spin around and a Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Donald Wayne Wright, 56, collided with the side of the Jeep.

Barrett sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Sierra View Medical Center.  His passenger, Bridget Lynn Holland, 40, of Porterville, suffered major injuries to her legs.  She was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

The motorcyclist, Don Wright, received minor injuries.  The county truck driver; 19 year old Austin Ralph Bodley, of Strathmore, also sustained minor injuries, but refused medical treatment.

The California Highway Patrol said that alcohol was not a factor in the incident.

Tulare County U.S. Post Office Vehicle Accident Ends in Fatality on Delta Street, in Porterville

April 3, 2015- An United States Postal Truck accident ends fatally for one little boy in Tulare County.  The vehicle collision took place in Porterville on Friday, at approximately 1:30 PM.

T.J. Trevino, 18 months old, was playing in his front yard, with his family.  It is reported that while he was in the yard, a Post Office vehicle stopped to deliver the mail, at the Delta Street home. As the mail truck started to pull away from the sidewalk, the small child darted out into the street.

The mail carrier, who is reported to not have seen the toddler, started to drive the truck and hit T.J.  Witnesses said that the child was not breathing after the collision.

An ambulance came and rushed him to Sierra View Medical Center, in Porterville.  T.J. Trevino was pronounced dead a short time later at the hospital.

Tulare County vehicle collision ends in fatality for 18-month-old boy, on Friday, April 3, 2015.  The Porterville accident involved a United States Post Office delivery truck, at about 1:30 in the afternoon.

The U.S. postal vehicle was out delivering mail in the area of Delta Street and Aurora Avenue.  It had stopped in front of a home at 481 N. Delta Street.  When it pulled away from the residence the truck struck a toddler boy, who has been identified as T.J. Trevino.

Neighbors reported that the small child has been playing in the front yard of the residence, when suddenly he darted out into the street.

The postal worker was reported to have stopped and got out of his vehicle to help with the boy.  Witnesses said that it looked like the toddler was not breathing after being struck.

T.J. suffered serious injuries and was taken to Sierra View Medical Center, in Porterville for treatment.  He later died in the hospital.

Guillermo Trevino, T.J.'s father, is asking for support from the community.

United States Postal Service Vehicle Crash, in Porterville, Ends in Fatality

April 3, 2015- A fatal collision that involved a U.S. mail truck took place in Porterville, on Friday.  The Tulare County vehicle crash killed an 18-month-old boy, on Delta Street, at approximately 1:30 PM.

The United States postal service truck was driving in the around Aurora Avenue, and Delta St., delivering mail.  A toddler, T.J. Trevino was in his front yard on Delta, with his family, when he was reported to have darted out into the road.

The mail truck was stopped to deliver the post and pulled away from the sidewalk just as T.J. ran out from his yard.  The vehicle struck the small child.

T.J. was seriously injured and was taken by ambulance to Sierra View Medical Center, in Porterville.  He was pronounced dead a short time later at the hospital.

U.S. Mail Truck Collision in Porterville, California, Kills Young Child, on Delta Street

On Friday, April 3, 2015, a toddler was hit and killed by a U.S. Postal Service truck.  The Tulare County vehicle accident  occurred in Porterville, at about 1:30 PM.

A mail truck was delivering mail in the area of Delta Street and Aurora Avenue.  The Postal truck hit 18 month old, T.J. Trevino, while it was driving at an extremely slow speed, after pulling away from a home on Delta Street, according to Porterville police.

T.J. was reported to have run out into the street from the front yard of the residence where he was playing with his older brother, father; Guillermo Trevino, and his mother.

The little boy was rushed to Sierra View Medical Center, with major injuries.  He later died in the hospital.

Authorities continue to investigate this collision.

Investigation Needed Into Death of Toddler, Caused by Postal Truck Accident, in Porterville

A toddler boy was killed following a vehicle collision that involved an U.S. mail truck, in Tulare County.  The postal vehicle accident happened on Friday, April 3, 2015, in Porterville, at approximately 1:30 in the afternoon.

Before an ambulance arrived at the scene, it is reported that T.J. was not breathing.  The little boy was rushed to Sierra View Medical Center, in Porterville, for treatment.  He died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

U.S. Mail Truck Crash on Delta Street, Kills Toddler, in Porterville

April 3, 2015- A vehicle accident ends in a toddler boy's death in Tulare County, on Friday.  The collision involved an United States postal delivery truck that was out delivering the mail, in Porterville, at about 1:30 PM.

The child has been identified as T.J. Trevino, 18-months-old.  The mail truck had stopped in front of 481 N. Delta Street to deliver mail.  As the vehicle pulled away it struck the little boy, who was reported to have darted out of the front yard where he had been playing with his family.

Neighbors in the area said that after the crash, T.J. was not breathing.  Emergency crews soon arrived and took T.J., who had suffered serious injuries, to Sierra View Medical Center, right in Porterville.

The toddler was pronounced dead a short time later in the hospital.

Fatal Truck Collision That Involved U.S. Mail Vehicle in Porterville Needs Investigation

On Friday, April 3, 2015, a child was killed in a truck collision on Delta Street in Porterville, that involved a postal truck.  The fatal vehicle accident took place in Tulare County, at 1:30 PM.  The toddler has been identified as T.J. Trevino.

An United States mail truck was out making deliveries in the Delta and Aurora Avenue area.  The Post Office vehicle stopped at the residence of 481 N. Delta Street, and as it pulled away the truck hit the 18-month-old boy.

It is reported that witnesses saw T.J. run suddenly out into the roadway right before the postal truck pulled out.

T.J. Trevino sustained major injuries and was said to not be breathing after the accident.  He was rushed by ambulance to Sierra View Medical Center, in Porterville, where he later died from his injuries.

The Porterville Police continue to investigate the incident.

Child Killed in Tulare County U.S. Mail Truck Collision, in Porterville

On Friday, April 3, 2015, a little boy was killed in an accident that involved an U.S. Postal Service vehicle, that took place in Tulare County.  The truck collision happened on Delta Street, in Porterville, at approximately 1:30 PM.

The United States mail truck was traveling in the area of Aurora Avenue and Delta St., delivering its post.  It stopped in front of a residence on Delta Street, and as it pulled away from the sidewalk the vehicle struck an 18-month-old toddler, named T.J. Trevino.

T.J. was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Sierra View Medical Center.  Witnesses reported that the child appeared to not be breathing, before emergency personnel arrived.  He was declared dead a short time after arriving at the hospital.
