Woman Collides with Walnut Tree near Farmersville

November 21, 2011- A pregnant woman crashed into an orchard on Avenue 256, southeast of Visalia, at about 8 PM Monday night.

The woman was driving her Chevy Impala east on Avenue 256, when she looked down to change the radio station, and crashed into a walnut tree in an orchard on the side of the road, at Farmersville Boulevard.

Two children, who were occupants in the car, were pinned in their car seats for several minutes until the Tulare County Fire Department were able to cut the seats from the vehicle.

The mother and children were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The CHP said that fog was moving into the area when the crash occurred, and that might have been a factor in the accident.
