August 28, 2014- On Thursday a Turlock man was fatally injured in a vehicle collision in Stanislaus County. The accident occurred in east Turlock at about 6:45 PM.
Luiz Azevedo, 82 years old, was driving a Chevy Lumina eastbound on Castleview Drive, when he started to cross Quincy Avenue right into the path of a Chrysler Pacifica, driven by a teenage girl.
The Chrysler broadsided the Chevrolet, and Azevedo suffered a head injury. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his wounds.
Azevedo's 72 year old wife, who was a passenger in the car, sustained minor injuries. The 16 year old driver of the Pacifica was not hurt in the crash.
