Attempted U-Turn Causes 2-Vehicle Accident on Highway 190, in Tulare County

On Thursday, July 30, 2015, a pickup truck collision injured two people in Tulare County.  The 2-vehicle crash occurred west of Porterville on Highway 190, at approximately 10:50 AM.

A white Ford Taurus, driven by Yeraldin Navarette, of Lathrop, was traveling westbound on State Route 190.  The automobile tried to make a U-turn when it reached Road 200.

As it turned back around onto the highway, the car was hit by a white Toyota Tacoma, that had been driving behind the Ford on Hwy 190.  The truck, which was driven by Peter Dutton, of Springville, slammed into the driver's side of the Taurus.

Navarette, and a little boy, 5, suffered severe injuries.  The juvenile was medi-flighted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.  The man was also taken to CRMC for treatment, by ambulance.

Dutton was unharmed.

Motorcycle Collision Injures Two People, on Highway 190, in Tulare County

August 12, 2015- A motorcycle crash left two people injured in Tulare County, on Wednesday.  The vehicle accident happened near Porterville, on Highway 190, at around 10:15 PM.

P. Norton (first name unknown), 51, was traveling west on Highway 190, on a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle.  Near Road 284 the motorcyclist made an unsafe turning movement, which caused the bike to lose control and overturn.

Norton and a female passenger; C. Black, 43, suffered moderate injuries.  They were taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.  Both bikers were from Porterville.

Multi-Vehicle Accident Near Porterville on Highway 190, Child Injured

July 30, 2015- A two-car accident occurred on Highway 190, on Thursday.  The Tulare County vehicle collision took place west of Porterville, at about 10:50 AM.

Yeraldin Navarette, 21 years old, of Lathrop, was driving a white Ford Taurus west on Highway 190.  It is reported that the Ford attempted to make a U-turn at Road 200.  The car turned right and then turned back around onto the highway.

The Taurus was then struck by a white Toyota Tacoma truck that had been following the automobile on the highway.  The pickup, driven by Peter Dutton, of Springville, smashed into the driver's side of the Ford.

Navarette, and a 5-year-old boy in the car, sustained major injuries.  The little boy was taken by helicopter to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.  Navarette was taken by ambulance to the Fresno hospital.

Dutton was not hurt.

Tulare County Car Accident on Highway 190, West of Porterville

Tulare County Automobile Collision Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident to report; On Thursday, July 30, 2015, a two-vehicle crash happened near Porterville.  The car collision occurred on Highway 190, at around 10:50 AM.

A white Ford Taurus, driven by Yeraldin Navarette, 21, of Lathrop, was traveling west on Highway 190, nearing Road 200.  The vehicle turned to the right, toward Road 200, then veered back around onto the highway.

At that time a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, driven by Peter Dutton, of Springville, was driving on Hwy 190, behind the Ford.  When Navarette drove back onto the highway, the Toyota crashed into the driver's side of the Taurus.

Navarette and a 5 year old boy who was an occupant in the Ford, suffered severe injuries.  The child was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.  The driver was taken by ambulance to the same hospital.

Dutton was unharmed.

Multiple Vehicle Accident on Highway 190 in Porterville

Tulare County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident report; On Thursday, April 30, 2015, a three-vehicle collision occurred in Porterville.  The motorcycle crash happened on Highway 190, at about 11:40 AM.

The CHP reported that a Jeep, driven by Billy Joe Barrett, 72, of Porterville, was traveling west on Highway 190.  The Jeep veered off the highway, and smashed into the back of a Tulare County truck, filled with road signs, that was parked on the shoulder of the road.

The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to spin around and a Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Donald Wayne Wright, 56, collided with the side of the Jeep.

Barrett sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Sierra View Medical Center.  His passenger, Bridget Lynn Holland, 40, of Porterville, suffered major injuries to her legs.  She was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

The motorcyclist, Don Wright, received minor injuries.  The county truck driver; 19 year old Austin Ralph Bodley, of Strathmore, also sustained minor injuries, but refused medical treatment.

The California Highway Patrol said that alcohol was not a factor in the incident.

Car Accident West of Porterville, on Highway 190 Kills One Person

Tulare County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident update; On Monday, December 1, 2014, a vehicle crash fatally wounded one, near Porterville.  The car collision took place on Highway 190, at approximately 10:15 AM.

A female driver, 44, was traveling with her passenger, Virginia Perez, of Porterville, in a 1996 Chevy car, on Highway 190.  The Chevrolet stopped on the highway, east of Road 193, to make a left turn into a private residence.

A 1999 Ford, driven by a Strathmore man, 22, was driving on the highway at about 58 miles per hour, when it crashed into the back of the other vehicle.

Perez suffered major injuries.  She was taken to Sierra View Medical Center, where she later died.

Vehicle Collision in Tulare County on Highway 190 Ends in Fatality

On Monday, December 1, 2014, a Porterville woman was killed in a car accident, in Tulare County.  The vehicle collision occurred on Highway 190, at about 10:15 AM.

A 44 year old female driver, was driving a 1996 Chevrolet automobile on Highway 190, east of Road 193.  Virginia Perez, was a passenger in the Chevy.  The car stopped on the roadway to make a left-hand turn into a private driveway, when it was hit from behind by a 1999 Ford.

The Ford was driven by a 22 year old Strathmore man, who was reported to have been traveling at 58 mph when it rear-ended the Chevy.

Perez sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Sierra View Medical Center, in Porterville.  She died from her wounds while in the hospital.

No reports on the condition of the other two victims in the accident.

Porterville Woman Killed in Car Accident on Highway 190

Tulare County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident update; A rear-end vehicle collision ends in fatality, on Monday, December 1, 2014.  The car accident occurred west of Porterville, at approximately 10:15 AM, on Highway 190.

A 1996 Chevy vehicle, driven by a 44 year old woman, was traveling on Highway 190, when it stopped to turn left into a private driveway.  Virginia Perez, of Porterville, was a passenger in the Chevrolet.

A Strathmore man, 22 years old, was driving a 1999 Ford at about 58 miles per hour, when it crashed into the back of the Chevy.  The incident took place east of Road 193.

Perez suffered major injuries and was rushed to Sierra View Medical Center.  She later died while in the hospital.

It is not known whether the other two people involved in the crash were hurt.

Tulare County Auto Collision West of Porterville on Highway 190

On Monday, December 1, 2014, a Porterville woman was killed in a vehicle accident.  The Tulare County car collision occurred west of Porterville, at about 10:15 AM.

A 22 year old Strathmore man, was driving a 1999 Ford, west on Highway 190.  The Ford was moving at a speed of 58 mph, when the vehicle smashed into the back of a Chevy, east of Road 193.

The 1996 Chevrolet, driven by a 44 year old woman, was stopped on the westbound highway, in an attempt to make a left-hand turn into a private driveway.  The passenger in the Chevy automobile was Virginia Perez, of Porterville.

Perez sustained major injuries in the crash and was taken by ambulance to Sierra View Medical Center.  She later died in the hospital.

No other information is available at this time.

Fatal Rear-end Car Collision on Highway 190, near Porterville

December 1, 2014- A Tulare County woman was fatally wounded in a car accident on Monday.  The vehicle collision happened west of Porterville, on Highway 190, at about 10:15 AM.

Virginia Perez, of Porterville, was a passenger in a 1996 Chevrolet, driven by a 44 year old female.  The Chevy was stopped on westbound Highway 190, and about to make a left-hand turn into a private driveway, when the vehicle was rear-ended by a 1999 Ford.  The Ford, which was driven by a 22 year old Strathmore man, was traveling at about 58 miles per hour when the cars collided.

The crash took place east of Road 193.

Virginia Perez suffered serious injuries and was taken to Sierra View Medical Center, in Porterville, where she later died.

No information on whether the other two victims in the collision were injured.

DUI Crash Involving 3 Vehicles on Highway 190 near Porterville

December 12, 2011- A Porterville man faces DUI charges after a crash on Highway 190, southeast of Visalia, on Monday, at approximately 2:40 PM.

Arturo Lara, was driving a Chevy Colorado eastbound on Hwy 190, when he passed another car and crashed into the back of a Ford Taurus that was stopped at a stop sign. The Taurus yielded at the intersection of Westwood Road, and Highway 190.

The impact from the accident, pushed the Taurus, driven by Alex Lucio of Porterville, into the intersection, where it collided with a Ford pickup truck. The Ford was driven by Louis Gurrola of Terra Bella.

Lara and Lucio were both injured and taken to Sierra View District Hospital. Lara was charged with felony DUI.
