December 9, 2011- An update to the accident that happened in Modesto where an elderly woman was hit while walking to here mailbox, on Friday, at approximately 2:45 PM.
The woman hit and killed was Elsaree Duncan-Murray.
A 44 year-old Patterson man, not a woman, was driving his 2004 Honda west on Paradise, when the elderly woman stepped into the path of his car.

Elderly Pedestrian Struck and Killed By Car in Modesto
December 9, 2011- A pedestrian was killed Friday in Modesto, north of Fresno, at about 2:45 PM.
A woman in a grey Honda was driving westbound on Paradise Road, between Shiloh Road and Hart Road. An elderly woman crossed the street to go to her mailbox, and walked right in front of the Honda.
The woman, who was in her late 70's, died at the scene of the accident.
Officers reported that the elderly woman left the home without the family member knowing. They came from the nearby home shortly after the crash.
