Orosi child injured in crash
July 23, 2010--Yesterday morning's crash on Avenue 440 near Road 128 in Tulare County seriously injured a child who was airlifted to the hospital. The driver of the other car was arrested for DUI. The motor vehicle accident is still being investigated. Please call us if you would like us to send an engineer to the scene.

Highway 63 in Cutler and Orosi considered dangerous for pedestrians
In the last 10 years nine pedestrians have died after being hit on a stretch of Highway 63 that runs through Cutler and Orosi, the latest occurring on October 30. Forty-one pedestrians have been hit and injured during that same stretch of time. Many people blame poor lighting conditions and excess vehicle speeds for the relatively high number of injuries and fatalities. Pedestrian Marcos De La Torre killed
October 30, 2009--The pedestrian killed last Friday night has been identified as Oscar De La Torre of Orosi. The 83 year old man was walking across Highway 63 near Road 128 when he was struck by a pickup.

October 30, Orosi pedestrian accident on Highway 63
On October 30 an 83-year-old Orosi man was hit by a pickup truck and killed. Marcos De La Torre was crossing Highway 63 when he was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado. The driver of the Silverado took evasive action to avoid hitting De La Torre but failed. De La Torre was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and poor lighting was most likely a factor in this accident. Pedestrian struck and killed in Orosi Tulare County
October 30, 2009--An 83 year old pedestrian was struck and killed last Friday in the Tulare County town of Orosi. Marcos De La Torre was walking across Highway 63 wearing dark clothing when he was hit by a 1998 Chevy Silverado. The driver took some evasive action and could not avoid impact. Poor lighting conditions may have been a factor. Alcohol was not a factor in this collision
The CHP investigation continues as to the cause of this accident. The pedestrian was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The driver who struck him was identified as Gilberto Martinez.
