Arroyo Grande Multiple Vehicle Crash on Northbound Highway 101

July 12, 2014- A head-on collision ends in a multi-vehicle pile-up, in San Luis Obispo County, on Saturday.  The car accident happened on Highway 101 in Arroyo Grande, at about 9:30 PM.

The driver of one automobile is reported to have entered northbound Highway 101, going the wrong way on the Grand Avenue off-ramp.  That car crashed into another vehicle head-on.

As a result of the head-on crash, at least three other vehicles were also involved in the incident.  The accident blocked both northbound lanes of the freeway.

The driver of one of the cars had to be extricated from the auto by the jaws of life.  That driver sustained injury and was taken to Sierra Vista Hospital for treatment.  One other victim was also injured and taken to the hospital.

Paso Robles Jeep Collision off of Highway 101

May 30, 2014- A car collision injures two men in San Luis Obispo County, on Friday.  The vehicle accident, which occurred in Paso Robles, happened at about 9:30 AM.

John Manuel Carreras, 61 years old from San Miguel, was driving a Jeep on Highway 101.  He tried to turn from the highway onto Wellsona Road, and the vehicle went directly into the path of another Jeep, driven by James Patrick King, 52 years old.

The two Jeeps collided, and both drivers were hurt.

Carrera sustained moderate injuries, and King sustained major injuries.  They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Los Osos Valley Road Rollover Crash in San Luis Obispo

February 27, 2014- Three vehicles were involved in a car crash near San Luis Obispo, California on Thursday evening.

The collision happened next to the south Highway 101 off-ramp at Calle Joaquin and Los Osos Valley Road.  One of the vehicles involved in the accident overturned and ended up on its side.

Two people received minor injuries in the crash.

March 5 Highway 101 big rig accident

On March 5 a big rig jack knifed on Highway 101 north of the Cuesta Summit. The accident happened during the morning rush hour and caused delays to commuters heading south. January 19 Highway 101 crash partially closes highway

On January 19 a vehicle carrying jet fuel crashed on northbound highway 101 near Atascadero. This caused one lane of the freeway to be closed for several hours while crews worked to clean up the spilled fuel. http://www.nelsonrozier.com/

December 19 Highway 101 fatal pedestrian accident

On December 19 Ismael Gamboa was killed when he was hit by a car while walking along Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo. He was hit by a BMW driven by George Patton of Fresno. Patton was driving southbound in the fast lane near Madonna Road when he hit Gamboa. Gamboa had been walking along the right southbound shoulder when he ran directly into traffic. December 16 accident on Highway 101 near Paso Robles

On December 16 parts of Highway 101 were closed after an accident north of Paso Robles. The accident occurred around 6:42 am between a pickup truck and a big rig. Reportedly, the big rig was jack knifed in the lanes of the highway and there was a man pinned inside the pickup truck. October 30, Highway 198/Monterey County Tanker Accident

On October 30, 2009 a tanker crashed on Highway 198 in Monterey County. The crash resulted in the tanker spilling its load of liquid fertilizer. 4,200 gallons of calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) were spilled resulting in the closure of Highway 198 between Coalinga and Highway 101. While CAN is not flammable it could be explosive when mixed with fuel. Officials were trying to contain the spill in order to reopen the road. Highway 198 Accident-Tanker

October 30, 2009--A big rig tanker crashed and spilled its dangerous load on Highway 198 west of Coalinga on Friday morning.  The driver suffered only minor injuries.  The accident forced the closure of Highway 198 between Coalinga and Highway 101 in Monterey County while the spilled load of liquid fertilizer was cleaned up.  The chemical compound was described as calcium ammonium nitrate.    www.nelsonrozier.com
