Hit-and-Run Collision Kills Man in Wheelchair, in Fresno, on Cedar Avenue

Wrongful Death Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident report; On Monday, July 20, 2015, a hit-and-run collision leads to the death of an elderly man in a wheelchair.  The pickup truck crash took place in East Central Fresno, at about 12 PM.

Jose Rodriguez, 83, was crossing the street in a motorized wheelchair on Cedar Avenue, at Floradora Avenue.  While crossing the street in his scooter, a white pickup, and a grey Acura automobile were reported to have been racing down the roadway.

Rodriguez was struck by the truck.  The pickup and the car sped off, away from the scene of the accident.  The vehicle was last seen driving north on Cedar.

Rodriguez died at the scene of the collision.

The suspect has not been apprehended yet.  He has been described at a man with a goatee and long hair.

February 26 Fresno canal accident

On February 26 a man drove the wrong way on Clark Avenue in Fresno and ended up in a canal near Floradora Avenue. The man was not injured and was found standing on top of the vehicle when police arrived. Reportedly the man was unfamiliar with the area and could not see the road clearly in the rain.
