Head-on Collision on Highway 33 in Kern County; One Fatality

March 26, 2014- A crash between a car and a crane truck leaves one dead, in Kern County, on Wednesday.  The accident happened on Highway 33 in Fellows, California, at about 3:40 PM.

A 21 year old man or woman (conflicting reports on the gender of the driver), from Lost Hills, was driving a black Nissan Sentra vehicle north on Highway 33, just south of Arnold Avenue.  The driver was travelling at an unknown rate of speed, when the car drifted onto the dirt shoulder to the east of the highway.

The driver over-corrected as the vehicle reentered the northbound roadway, and turned the Nissan sharply right, causing it to slide directly into southbound traffic.  The Sentra ended up directly in the path of a Peterbilt Crane truck that was headed south.

The big rig, driven by Thomas Davis, was not able to hit his brakes before colliding with the driver's side of the Nissan.  The impact from the collision killed the driver of the car.  Thomas Davis is reported to be uninjured.

This accident requires much more investigation. Please let me help. Attorney John Rozier of Visalia, north of Bakersfield. I am located on Caldwell Ave.  www.nelsonrozier.com or call me at 559-713-0159.

Car and Milk Truck Collision Kills One in Hanford

January 25, 2012- A fatal crash occurred in Hanford on Wednesday, west of Visalia. The accident happened at about 9:30 AM.

Ariel Marie Gieseman was driving a Nissan Sentra eastbound on Flint Avenue. With fog in the area, visibility was down to about 500 feet as Gieseman approached the Seventh Avenue intersection.

Dale Igou of Visalia, was driving a big rig carrying a tanker full of milk. He turned onto the road from a nearby dairy.

The semi almost completely entered the westbound lane on Flint Ave, when the Nissan slammed into the left-rear axle at a high rate of speed. The impact caused the Nissan to spin off onto an embankment.

Witnesses said that the Nissan was going at about 60-70 miles per hour, and Gieseman was holding something in her hand just before she hit the big rig.

Gieseman was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. No reports on whether Igou was hurt.

The crash is still under investigation, but fog was a big contributor to the incident.

Please give us a call, if you are a relative or are in touch with the family, and would like us to investigate this accident further. We are located in Visalia. Attorney John Rozier 559-713-0159.

Update to Pile Up on Highway 41 and I-5

September 1, 2011- An update to the eight car crash that happened last Thursday on Highway 41, in the Kettleman City area.

The driver of the semi truck, was Jonathan Moren, of Madera. The accident occurred when Moren reportedly failed to stop for stopped traffic ahead of him, from road construction to State Route 41. Moren was traveling at 55 mph, when he locked up the brakes and swerved to avoid a collision, causing his vehicle to hit the back of a 2000 Nissan Sentra driven by Erica Kloth, of Yreka.

Craig Brown, of Visalia, was in a 2000 Ford F-250, when Moren’s Freightliner, struck his truck from behind, causing major damage. Brown’s Ford then struck a 2007 Toyota Highlander, causing moderate damage to that vehicle.

Brown had no injuries, and Kloth was listed as having moderate injuries.

Jonathan Gardner, of Santa Barbara, was listed as having minor injuries. The names of the others involved in the collision have not been reported at this time.
