February 23 victim of pedestrian accident at Carrows on Mooney Boulevard in Visalia identified

The woman injured on February 23 in a pedestrian accident in the Carrows parking lot on Mooney Boulevard in Visalia has been identified as Elena Beth Beck. Reportedly the 76-year-old Beck was walking to Carrows from her nearby home when she was hit by a delivery truck that was leaving the restaurant. The truck was driven by Felipe Avina. Avina claims that he never saw Beck. Beck was dragged 8 feet by the truck before Avina noticed her and stopped the truck. Beck has severe damage to her leg and had to undergo surgery.
