Fresno School Bus Accident on Browning Avenue, near Tenaya Middle School

Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield Collision Attorney John L. Rozier has the following accident report; On Thursday, August 20, 2015, a school bus and automobile collided in Fresno County.  The car crash occurred in Northwest Fresno, at about 8 AM.

A school bus, carrying 69 students, headed to Tenaya Middle School, was driving east on Browning Avenue.  Near Palm Avenue, a silver car, driven by a 47 year old man, was also eastbound on Browning.  The vehicle attempted to make a U-turn and drove into the path of the bus.

The sedan's driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a Fresno hospital.

Twelve of the students on the bus sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene of the incident.  None were taken to the hospital.

Hit-and-Run Car Accident Kills One Pedestrian in Bakersfield, on Palm Avenue

On Sunday, March 15, 2015, a fatal hit-and-run crash killed one pedestrian.  The Kern County car accident occurred in Bakersfield, California.

A 66 year old pedestrian, Lauren Ernest Bristol, was walking on the sidewalk of Palm Avenue, west of Country Breeze Place.  An automobile, driven by Kevin Coontz, 20, veered off the road, up onto the sidewalk, and hit Bristol.

The vehicle then fled the scene of the collision.  Police arrested Kevin Coontz later Sunday night.

Bristol died at the scene.

The cause of the hit-and-run accident is under investigation.

Automobile Collision on Palm Avenue and Gettysburg Avenue in Fresno

Visalia Elderly Maltreatment Attorney John Rozier has the following report; On Friday, October 10, 2014, a car accident, in Fresno, left one driver seriously hurt.  The vehicle collision occurred at about 4 PM, at Palm and Gettysburg avenues.

The crash took place when a Honda Accord and a red Ford Mustang both, reportedly, tried to beat a red light at the intersection.  The two automobiles collided and the driver of the Mustang was injured.

The driver is reported to have suffered a possible broken neck.  He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.  No other injuries were reported in the incident.

Car Hits Elementary School Fence in Wasco

February 24, 2012- a crash in Wasco damages elementary school fence, on Friday. The accident happened at about 7:40 PM.

Jorge Sandoval was driving on Palm Avenue and lost control of his vehicle. The car left the roadway, hit a tree, and veered back onto the road. It then swerved across the roadway, and crashed into the fence of Palm Avenue Elementary School, at Palm and 9th Place.

Sandoval was pinned inside his vehicle, until crews arrived. He suffered serious injuries and was flown to Kern Medical Center, in Bakersfield.

Update: Woman Killed in Accident in Los Banos

February 21, 2012- An update to the fatal crash in Los Banos, that occurred on Tuesday, at 11:36 AM.

The driver of the Chevy Tahoe that was hit by the Lincoln Town Car has been identified at Adam Bryant of Dos Palos.

The driver of the Lincoln entered the intersection of Palm Avenue and Valeria Avenue, directly into the path of the Tahoe. Bryant was unable to avoid the collision and broadsided the driver's side of the Lincoln.

The driver of the Lincoln suffered fatal injuries. A 3 year-old boy in the back seat of the Town Car received minor injuries.

Investigators are trying to determine whether the driver ran the stop sign, or just pulled out in front of the Tahoe.

Woman Killed in Accident in Los Banos at Palm and Valeria

February 22, 2012- A 32-year-old Dos Palos woman was killed Wednesday, in a crash that occurred in the Los Banos area. The accident happened shortly after 11:30 AM.

The woman, driving a 2000 Lincoln Town Car pulled into the path of a 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe at Palm Avenue and Valeria Avenue.

A 3-year-old boy in the car, who was strapped into a car seat, complained of pain. The Tahoe driver, Adam Bryant, 44, of Dos Palos, was not injured.

The CHP said the woman, who was not identified pending notification of her family, was southbound on Palm and Bryant was westbound on Valeria. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

Alcohol does not appear to have been a contributing factor in the crash, the CHP said.

Shafter Accident Kills One Person

October 23, 2011- A deadly crash happened in Shafter, northwest of Bakersfield, Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred just after 3 PM.

The CHP reported that the crash happened at the intersection of Merced Avenue and Palm Avenue. A pickup truck with a trailer ran a stop sign and slammed into a car that had the right of way.

A passenger in the car, Ruben Solis Rojas, was killed. Two other people had to be flown to the hospital to be treated for major injuries.

May 21 Fresno Accident on Shaw involves 9 cars

On May 21 nine cars were involved in an accident on Shaw Avenue in Fresno. Reportedly the accident occurred just east of Palm Avenue around 3 pm. The westbound lanes on Shaw were partially blocked for a time that afternoon. A total of nine cars were involved in the accident. No further details are available at this time. www.nelsonrozier.com

May 19 fatal canal accident on Shaffer Road near Winton

On May 19  a man was killed in an accident on Shaffer Road near Winton. Reportedly he was traveling northbound on Shaffer near Palm Avenue when he attempted to pass a flat-bed trailer driven by Francisco Ochoa. He crossed into the southbound lane to attempt to pass the truck when other vehicles in the southbound lane were approaching him. He then went back into the northbound lane and one of the rear tires of his vehicle hit one of the front tires of the truck. This caused his vehicle to spin, hit a concrete wall, and land in the canal. the vehicle was completely submerged in the canal. People passing the accident stopped and pulled the man from the vehicle. He had suffered major injuries.
