February 25, 2012- A Tulare man died in a crash on Highway 99, on Saturday. The accident happened at about 12:20 AM.
Vincent Yost was driving his 2004 Toyota Tacoma south on Highway 99 near Merritt Avenue, at about 70 mph. The truck began to swerve and Yost tried to get control, but over-corrected.
The Tacoma turned left abruptly and smashed into a guard rail twice, and then overturned.
Yost was pinned inside the vehicle. It is reported that he was not wearing his safety restraint. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.
