CHP Motorcycle Collision in Fresno, on Highway 41

April 3, 2015- A CHP motorcycle accident occurred in Fresno, on Friday.  The vehicle collision took place on northbound Highway 41, right before 11 AM.

The crash happened when a California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer pulled over a car to give the driver a citation.

At that time a black Dodge Charger, driven by Christopher Kirsch of Sanger, drifted off the freeway near Shaw Avenue.  The Dodge lost control, overturned several times, and hit the CHP bike, then the cop who was standing by the stopped automobile.  The Charger came to rest upside down on its roof.

The police officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.  Kirsch also sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Investigators are looking into the cause of this accident.

Fresno Police Officer Injured in Motorcycle Accident on McKinley & Marks Avenues

Visalia Nursing Home Lawyer John Rozier has the following collision update; On Saturday, October 25, 2014, a police officer was injured in a car accident.  The motorcycle crash happened in Fresno, at about 5:45 PM.

The off-duty Fresno Police Officer was riding his motorcycle east on McKinley Avenue.  At the intersection of McKinley and Marks avenues the bike and a car crashed into eachother.  It is reported that the vehicle was making a left turn into an apartment complex, when the wreck happened.

The officer suffered several injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.  The driver of the car was uninjured.

Visalia Officer Involved in Car Accident on Conyer Street

February 25, 2014- A crash happening early Tuesday morning occurred in Visalia, California.

The accident involved a detective for the Visalia Police Department.  The cop was driving south on Conyer Street towards police headquarters, when a Chevy Cavalier came out of an alley and rammed into the back of the officer's unmarked patrol car.


The patrol vehicle had only minor damage to the bumper.  The woman driver's vehicle received greater damage. Its bumper was torn off, and it had a buckled hood.  The Chevy had to be towed away.

No reports on any injuries at this time.

Motorcycle Officer Hurt in a Crash in Modesto

February 24, 2012- A Modesto Police Department motorcycle officer suffered minor injuries in an afternoon crash, on Friday. The accident occurred at about 1:26 PM.

The officer was riding north on McHenry Avenue, just south of Briggsmore Avenue, in the middle lane. A vehicle headed south on McHenry turned left right in front of the motorcycle, while trying to enter the McHenry Village shopping center.

The officer was able to call in to report the accident. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police Officer in Bakersfield Strikes Cyclist Causing Fatality

August 26, 2011- A Bakersfield police officer hit and killed a bicyclist Friday afternoon at about 12:45 PM.

Officer Peter Beagley was driving in an unmarked police vehicle, and collided with bicyclist Samuel Dohn Boyd, of Bakersfield, in the 200 block of H street. Beagley was driving north on H Street, and Boyd was riding north, as well, along the east curb line.

As they traveled north, Boyd suddenly turned left and tried to ride west across H street, moving directly in the path of Officer Beagley’s vehicle. Beagley was unable to stop in time and struck Boyd.


Boyd was taken to Kern Medical Center, where he died.

The accident is being investigated by Bakersfield Police Department’s traffic division. Beagley, who has worked for the department for 6 years, has returned to duty.

March 11 motorcycle accident injures police officer on Bullard Avenue in Fresno

On March 11 Fresno police officer Mike Roberts was injured in an accident that occurred between his motorcycle and another vehicle on Bullard Avenue. Reportedly Roberts was traveling westbound on Bullard when an eastbound vehicle turned left in front of him onto Fruit Avenue. Roberts's motorcycle slammed into the car and Roberts was flown over the car. The motorcycle reportedly burst into flames upon impact. Roberts suffered third-degree burns, a gash in the leg, a fractured elbow, a concussion, and several broken ribs. He underwest surgery to his elbow and will be hospitalized in the burn unit for a prolonged period of time. http://www.nelsonrozier.com/
