Go-Kart Vs. Truck Collision in Tulare County on Road 188 & Avenue 336

September 5, 2014- A truck vs. go-kart accident ends in fatality on Friday.  The vehicle collision happened in Tulare County, between Woodlake and Ivanhoe, at about 6:15 PM.

Roxanna Alcantar, and Erica Wysong, both from Ivanhoe, were riding in a Dingo go-kart, traveling north on Road 188.  The kart ran a stop sign at the intersection of Avenue 336, and a 2007 Chevrolet Colorado truck hit the right side of the vehicle.  The Chevy was headed west on Avenue 336.

The two women were thrown from the Dingo, and it came to rest in an orchard.  The pickup also ended up in the citrus grove.

Both Alcantar, and Wysong died in the collision.  The driver of the truck and his passenger, received minor injuries from the crash.

DUI Crash Involving 3 Vehicles on Highway 190 near Porterville

December 12, 2011- A Porterville man faces DUI charges after a crash on Highway 190, southeast of Visalia, on Monday, at approximately 2:40 PM.

Arturo Lara, was driving a Chevy Colorado eastbound on Hwy 190, when he passed another car and crashed into the back of a Ford Taurus that was stopped at a stop sign. The Taurus yielded at the intersection of Westwood Road, and Highway 190.

The impact from the accident, pushed the Taurus, driven by Alex Lucio of Porterville, into the intersection, where it collided with a Ford pickup truck. The Ford was driven by Louis Gurrola of Terra Bella.

Lara and Lucio were both injured and taken to Sierra View District Hospital. Lara was charged with felony DUI.
