Sanger Fatal Accident after Stop Sign was run

March 3, 2011--Last night's accident near Sanger sounds very familiar.  A fatal accident occurred near Sanger about 2 years ago where the stop sign was blocked by orange tree branches---one died and 6 others were seriously hurt in that prior accident.  Litigation is still pending.

In yesterday's accident the driver of a Toyota ran a stop sign at Del Rey and North Avenues just before 7pm.  The Hmong victims were identified as Shoua Vang and Yong Vang, both in their mid-fifties.  Five others were taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.

April 6 tractor accident in Kerman

On April 6 a 68-year-old man was hit by a tractor in Kerman. The man was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center. The location of the accident was near 14000 West Belmont Avenue. No further details are available at this time. http://www.nelsonrozier.com/

April 5 wrongful death accident in Fresno at Clovis Avenue and Butler Avenue


On April 5 Lankin Vang was killed in a wrongful death accident at the intersection of Clovis Avenue and Butler Avenue in Fresno. Reportedly Vang was driving a Toyota Tacoma at a high rate of speed when the truck slammed into a tree. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center and later died there. http://www.nelsonrozier.com/

March 21 Porterville boy injured by family car

On March 21 a Porterville boy was injured when he was hit by a family member's car. The five-year-old boy was playing in the yard when he was hit by a car belonging to a member of his family. He suffered head injuries and was flown to Community Regional Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition. March 17 pedestrian accident in Fairmead

On March 17 a pedestrian was injured after being hit by a car on Maple Street in Fairmead in Madera County. March 15 train accident in Huron

On March 15 a man was hit by a train near 9th street in Huron. Reportedly the man was intoxicated and had passed out on the train tracks. He did not hear the warning bells and horn. February 23 accident between a train and bicycle in Fresno

On February 23 a man was injured when he was hit by a train while riding his bicycle in Fresno near Olive Avenue and Golden State Boulevard. Reportedly he was wearing earbuds while he waited for a northbound train to pass. Unfortunately he was waiting on another set of tracks and was hit by a southbound train. February 12 Highway 180 accident injures one

On February 12 a person was hospitalized with severe injuries after an accident on Highway 180 near the Highway 41 interchange. Reportedly a van hit a disabled bus that was parked on the side of the road. The van then swerved back into traffic where it was hit by a large truck. February 6 wrongful death accident on Highway 137 victim identified

The driver who died in a head-on collision on Highway 137 on February 6 has been identified as Alejandro Martinez. Martinez was driving eastbound on Highway 137 with passenger Patty Castro when he veered into the westbound lane and hit a Nissan driven by Eric Edward Cole. Cole is at Community Regional Medical Center where he is listed in serious condition. According to the CHP, Cole will be arrested on charges of driving under the influence after he is released from the hospital.

January 30 head-on collision near Corcoran

On January 30 there was a head-on collision just after midnight on Highway 137 east of Road 20 near Corcoran. The accident happened when the driver of a Toyota heading east on Highway 137 veered into the westbound lanes. This caused him to hit a Nissan driven by Eric Edward Cole. The driver of the Toyota, who was most likely intoxicated, died in the accident. The passenger in the Toyota, Patty Castro was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with facial cuts. February 7 head-on collision near Visalia injures 6

On February 8 there was a head-on collision on Road 168 near Visalia that sent six people to the hospital. The accident happened between a pickup truck and an SUV. One person from each vehicle suffered major injuries with the woman passenger from the SUV being airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. Three female passengers in the SUV and the male driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries and were taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia. http://www.nelsonrozier.com/

February 8 accident on Highway 180 and Brawley Avenue in Fresno

On February 8 two cars were involved in a rollover crash at Highway 180 and Brawley Avenue in Fresno. The accident between a Toyota Prius and a Nissan Sentra occurred around 1:30 pm. January 26 pedestrian accident at Houston Avenue and Jacob Street in Visalia

On January 26 a 10-year-old girl was hit by a car in a pedestrian accident at the intersection of Houston Avenue and Jacob Street in Visalia. The girl was walking to school when a Honda hit her. January 25 accident on Highway 198 in Hanford injures 6

On January 25 six people were injured in an accident on Highway 198 at 12th Avenue in Hanford. The accident closed eastbound Highway 198 for 2 1/2 hours that night. The accident occurred when a small car slowed for a tow truck that was removing debris from the road. The small car was then rear ended by an SUV. Five of the vicitms were in that small car. The three in the back seat, all teenagers, were all in critical condition. The driver of the SUV, also a teenager, sustained minor injuries. January 24 wrongful death accident at McKinley Avenue and Highway 145 in Fresno

On January 24 a 76-year-old man was killed and two other men injured in a wrongful death accident at Highway 145 and McKinley Avenue in Fresno. Reportedly Michael Freeman was westbound on McKinley Avenue when his vehicle collided with a Nissan traveling southbound on Highway 145. The driver of the Nissan was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Freeman and the passenger in his vehicle, Dustin Perger, were both taken to Community Regional Medical Center as well with major injuries. Highway 198 crash in Hanford

January 25, 2010--Yesterday's motor vehicle crash on Highway 198 in Hanford injured 6.  A SUV rearended a smaller car whose five occupants were injured.  The smaller car had been slowing for a tow truck up ahead.  The victims were taken to Fresno's Community Regional Medical Center.

Wrongful death motor vehicle accident west of Fresno

January 24, 2010--According to the Fresno Bee newspaper, alcohol was involved in Sunday's fatal accident west of Fresno.  23 year old Michael Freeman was westbound on McKinley and had been drinking.  He collided with a southbound Nissan Frontier on Highway 145 driven by a 76 year old male who expired in this wrongful death collision. Both Mr. Freeman and his passenger Dustin Perger sustained serious injuries and were taken to Regional Medical Center in Fresno.

January 19 Highway 99 accident in Fresno seriously injures Selma resident

On January 19 Gina Freeman, of Selma, was seriously injured in an accident on Highway 99 near Orange Avenue in Fresno. Reportedly Freeman was traveling faster than 65 mph when the lane she was driving in ended. She swerved onto the gravel median. This caused her to lose control of the vehicle and veer in front of a Freightliner. Her vehicle was hit by the big rig then hit the guard rail. Freeman was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where she was treated for major injuries. January 12 wrongful death accident at Avenue 168 and Road 152 update

On January 12 three people were killed when an 11-year-old boy ran a stop sign at Avenue 168 and Road 152. According to a family member, the driver Jose Silva Covarrubias was probably getting a driving lesson at the time of the accident. The boy's aunt, Brenda Silva, said she had seen Jose driving just once before and "there was no other reason for him to be behind the wheel." Jose along with his mother and 6-year-old sister were killed in the accident. A family friend, Froylon Zamora Gonzalez, was the only survivor of the accident.
