Automobile Collision Involving Multiple Vehicles near Centerville, on Highway 180

On Tuesday, January 13, 2015, a multi-car accident leaves two people hurt, near Centerville.  The vehicle collision happened in Fresno County, at approximately 8:15 AM, on Highway 180.

A Toyota, driven by a female, was traveling on Highway 180, northeast of Reedley, when the car veered over the center divide across the freeway and into oncoming traffic.  The car crashed head-on into a pickup truck towing a travel trailer, near Alta Avenue.

The impact caused the pickup and camper to rollover.  The trailer was carrying a man and his son, but they were not hurt.

The Toyota then collided with a Sport Utility Vehicle that was carrying a mother and an infant.

The woman and a passenger in the automobile, were both injured.  They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.  No other injuries were reported.

Multiple Vehicle Accident on Highway 180 in Fresno County

January 13, 2015- A multi-vehicle collision injures at least two people in Fresno County, on Tuesday.  The head-on car accident occurred northeast of Reedley, near Centerville, on Highway 180, at about 8:13 AM.

A woman driving a Toyota on the highway, when she lost control and traveled over the center divide, near Alta Avenue.  The Toyota hit a pickup truck towing a camper trailer, head-on.  The truck and travel trailer overturned from the impact.

The car then smashed into an SUV that had a mother and her infant inside.

The Toyota's driver and her passenger suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital.  No one else was seriously hurt.

The California Highway Patrol reported that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.  It is possible that the female driver fell asleep at the wheel.
