Fresno County Car Crash Ends in Fatality, at Manning Avenue and Hills Valley Road

On Wednesday, September 2, 2015, a vehicle collision ended in fatality, near Orange Cove.  The Fresno County automobile accident happened at approximately 5:30 PM.

A Squaw Valley man, 77, was driving a 1985 Nissan, headed east on Manning Avenue.  The driver was reported to have not stopped at the intersection of Manning and S. Hills Valley Road.

The Nissan crashed into a 2000 Toyota, driven by a 27 year old man from Orange Cove, who was traveling southbound on Hills Valley.  Authorities reported that both vehicles overturned, and at least one of them caught fire.

The 77 year old man was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.  He was pronounced dead while in the hospital.

The Toyota's driver sustained minor injuries.  He was taken by ambulance to Reedley Hospital.

There was a passenger in each of the vehicles, and both were also hospitalized.

Fatal Vehicle Accident near Orange Cove, on Manning Avenue

September 2, 2015- A fatal car collision occurred in Fresno County, on Wednesday.  The vehicle accident happened just south of Orange Cove, at around 5:30 PM.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the automobile crash involved two vehicles, in the area of Manning Avenue and S. Hills Valley Road.

Both vehicles overturned.  At least one of the cars caught fire and was soon engulfed in flames.

Authorities reported that there was a fatality.

No other information is known at this time.

Automobile Crash Fatally Injures One, near Parlier, on Manning Avenue

April 7, 2015- A fatal automobile collision kills one in Fresno County, on Tuesday.  The car accident took place near the cities of Selma and Parlier, at approximately 4:15 AM.

A white BMW, driven by Christina Rodriguez of Delano, was driving on Bethel Avenue.  As the BMW came to the intersection of Bethel and Manning avenues, the driver failed to stop at the posted stop sign.

As the vehicle entered the intersection it was broadsided by a red Chevrolet that was traveling on Manning Avenue.  Rodriguez died instantly, according to investigators.

The driver of the Chevy suffered moderate injuries, which included a broken ankle.  He or she was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities have this accident under investigation.

Fresno County Multi-Car Collision, near Parlier Caused by Wrong-Way Driver

On Thursday, February 12, 2015, foggy weather contributed to a multi-vehicle accident near Parlier.  The Fresno County 4-car pileup was caused by wrong-way driver, at Manning and Riverbend avenues, at around 6:30 AM.

The California Highway Patrol reported that one driver was traveling eastbound in the opposite lanes of traffic on Manning Avenue.  The crash hurt at least two people.  Those injured were taken to a local hospital.

Officers reported that the fog could have been a factor in the collision.

Wrong Way Driver on Manning Avenue, near Parlier, Led to Multi-Car Crash

On Thursday, February 12, 2015, a multi-car accident took place near Parlier.  The fog-related vehicle collision occurred at about 6:30 AM, in Fresno County.

One driver was said to have been traveling the wrong way in the westbound lanes on Manning Avenue, when the crash happened.  The accident occurred at Manning and Riverbend avenues.

At least two victims were hurt and taken to the hospital.

It is reported that the foggy weather was a factor in the collision.

Car Driving Wrong-way Led to Multiple Vehicle Accident in Fresno County

February 12, 2015- Two people were hurt in a multi-vehicle collision, in Fresno County.  The 4-car accident happened near Parlier, at about 6:30 AM.

The automobile crash occurred at Manning and Riverbend avenues.  One driver was reported to have been driving east in the westbound lanes of Manning Avenue.

Three Injured in Rollover Vehicle Collision on Highway 41, in Fresno County

On Tuesday, January 6, 2015, a rollover car collision injures three people, in Fresno county.  The vehicle accident occurred on Highway 41, at about 4 AM.

The crash happened near Manning Avenue, on Highway 41, when the silver automobile hit a ditch as it was traveling southbound.  The car overturned onto the side of the highway.

A woman was trapped underneath the car.  She was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno, after suffering serious injuries.

A man in the vehicle was also hurt.  He was taken by ambulance to the hospital.  A third person sustained minor injuries.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.

12 Car Pile-up Accident on Interstate 5, in Fresno County

Visalia Senior Citizen Abuse Attorney John L. Rozier has the following collision report; On Friday, August 29, 2014, an accident involving 10-12 vehicles slowed traffic on I-5.  The pile-up crash occurred in Fresno County, on Interstate 5, near Mendota.

The automobile collision happened about 8 PM, on the northbound freeway, near Manning Avenue.  The CHP reported that the pile-up started after one car hit the median of the highway while traveling north, and then rolled.

A total of thirteen people were injured in the chain reaction collision.  At least one victim had serious injuries, while the others had minor to moderate injuries.

Traffic was stalled on the highway for over an hour.

Big Rig Hit-and-Run Collision on Manning Avenue near Fowler

July 31, 2014- A multi-vehicle collision kills two people in Fresno County.  The big rig hit-and-run accident, occurred south of Fowler, on Thursday,  at about 12:20 PM.

A Kenworth semi truck, driven by Alonso Hernandez of Los Angeles, slammed into a red, 2003 Kia Sephia sedan from behind, at the intersection of Manning Avenue and Fowler Avenue.  The tractor-trailer pushed the car through the intersection, and into a telephone pole.

The big rig then hit another semi truck, driven by Julio Valenzuela, of Reedley, a short distance away, at Manning and Golden State Boulevard.  Hernandez then proceeded to leave the scene of the accident, and continued on to a gas station on Highway 99, and Manning Avenue.

Once at the gas station, Hernandez left his vehicle and fled on foot.  The California Highway Patrol arrested him a short while later.

Two people in the Kia; Leticia Trejo, and Ricardo Santos, of Selma, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.  Two others in the car; Renalda Santos, Efren Santos, and Valenzuela from the second big rig, were also injured and taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

Alonso Hernandez faces charges of driving under the influence, felony hit and run, and vehicular manslaughter.

Big Rig Collides with SUV in Fowler

August 29, 2011- A crash southwest of Fowler, 15 minutes from Fresno, closed the intersection of Clovis Avenue and Manning Avenue at 1:18 PM on Monday.

A big rig slammed into an SUV. Then, reportedly, the semi truck caught on fire. No other details are available at this time. We will update on this accident once they become available.

January 24 Fresno County fog accident near Reedley on Manning Avenue

On January 24 there was a fog accident involving a big rig and a pickup truck near Reedley on Manning Avenue. According to reports the pickup truck and the big rig crashed and ended up down an embankment near the intersection of Manning and Lac Jac Avenues. Due to foggy conditions, visibility at the time of the accident was reported to be around 300 feet. The driver of the pickup truck was taken to Community Regional Medical Center to be treated for unknown injuries. Later  in the day four separate, reportedly unrelated, chain-reaction accidents happened near the same intersection.

December 7 Fresno County fog-related accident

On the morning of December 7 there was an accident related to the fog that involved a big rig and three other vehicles in Fresno County. According to reports the big rig was westbound on Manning Avenue when it stopped at McMullen Grade. The big rig then continued into the intersection. At the same time a van that was traveling north on McMullen Grade and hit the big rig. Later another northbound car came out of the fog on McMullen and hit the big rig.  Finally a third vehicle which was southbound hit the big rig. Due to fog, visibility in the area was around 200 feet. The vehicles involved in the accident were most likely traveling a a speed that was not appropriate for the weather conditions.  One person was hospitalized with moderate injuries as a result of this accident.

june 19 wrongful death accident in Fresno County near Reedley

On June 19 there was a wrongful death accident east of Reedley. Reportedly a vehicle hit a power pole at the intersection of Manning and Crawford Avenues. The intersection was closed due to the power pole blocking the road after the accident. The driver of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries in the accident.

Fatal crash on I-5 at manning

June 8, 2010--Earlier today there was a fatal accident on Interstae 5 in Central California near Manning Avenue in Fresno County.  Also, at least one patient was being airlifted to a hospital.  So far no other information is available.

May 14 Easton accident

On May 14 there was an accident near Easton that sent three people to the hospital. The accident happened near the intersection of Highway 41 and Manning Avenue. The accident involved a van and a car. The van rolled onto its roof. One person suffered major injuries and two others were also hospitalized.

April 28 fatal motorcycle accident in Fresno County

On April 28 Jacob Verwey was killed in a motorcycle accidenton Jameson Avenue near Manning Avenue in Fresno County. Reportedly Verwey was traveling on Jameson Avenue near a vineyard when he hit a utility pole. We died at the scene of the accident. www.nelsonrozier.com

April 3 wrongful death accident neaqr Reedley

On April 3 Marisela Alvarado was killed and two others were injured in an accident at Englehart and Manning Avenues near Reedley. Reportedly Alvarado was northbound on Englehart when she drove into the path of Armando Gomez. Alvarado was declared dead at the scene of the accident. December 5 accident near Raisin City

On December 5 three people were hospitalized when their car rolled repeatedly near Manning and Cornelia Avenues in Raisin City. Javier Castillo Garcia was driving when he swerved and caused the car to roll. He was thrown out of the car and was air lifted to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries. December 4 Fog Related Accident in Fresno on Manning Avenue

On December 4 a big rig and a van collided on Manning Avenue due to fog. The visibility in that area is reported to be down to 200 feet. Other areas of Manning Avenue report visibility less than 500 feet. Injuries in the accident were minor, but drivers are cautioned to be aware of debris that may be in the road. Fog contributes to many accidents in the San Joaquin Valley every year.
