June 21, 2015- A fatal car accident took place in Kern County, on Sunday. The automobile collision happened in Arvin, southeast of Bakersfield.
The rollover crash occurred on Bear Mountain Boulevard. The vehicle overturned into a field, and two women were ejected.
They died at the scene of the accident. Another victim in the car sustained serious injuries and was taken to Kern County Medical Center.

Highway 223 Semi Truck Accident Kills One, in Bakersfield
May 18, 2015- A big rig accident ends in fatality for a Bakersfield woman. The Kern County semi truck collision took place on Highway 223, west of Arvin, on Monday morning.
Blanca Guadalupe Lopez Lomeli, 51 years old, was traveling southbound, in a white, Toyota Camry, on South Edison Road. It is reported that she failed to stop completely at the posted stop sign, before driving into the intersection at Highway 223.
The Toyota drove directly into the path of a tractor-trailer, that was going 55 miles per hour on the highway, and carrying 79,780 lbs. of cement powder, on Bear Mountain Boulevard.
Lomeli died at the scene of the crash. The semi truck driver was not hurt.

Highway 99 Roll Over Collision in Bakersfield and Route 223
June 8, 2014- A roll over car accident, which happened on Highway 99, ends in fatality in Kern County. The collision occurred in Bakersfield, on Sunday, at about 8:46 AM.
Raul Garcia, 19 years old, was driving a 2000 Honda Civic northbound on Highway 99, in the area of state Route 223/Bear Mountain Boulevard. The Honda drifted off the highway on the right side of the road. The car overturned and hit a tree along the dirt shoulder of the freeway.
The passenger in the Civic, David Cisneros, died at the scene of the crash. Garcia was seriously injured and taken to Kern Medical Center for treatment.

High Speed Pursuit Ends in Four Injured in Bakersfield
December 1, 2011- Four people, including two children, were injured in a crash after a high speed chase, south of Bakersfield, Thursday at about 8 PM.
A vehicle, carrying two adults and two kids, was pursued by sheriff's deputies. Speeds reached up to 90 mph. At one point deputies ended the pursuit, because they felt it was too dangerous.
The pursued car flew through the intersection of Bear Mountain Boulevard and Stine Road, where it became airborne, flying through several trees and then flipped over.
The driver suffered major injuries and was medi-flighted to Kern Medical center. The other occupants were also taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
The driver of the car is being investigated for DUI.
