Man from Porterville Hurt in Crash on Mountain Rd 146

January 31, 2012- A Porterville man was injured in a crash on Tuesday, at about 12:30 PM.

Gerardo Barraza, was traveling east on Mountain Road 146, at about 55 mph, in a 2004 Ford. He entered an area of road that had a series of sharp curves, with the posted speed limit of 25 mph.

Barraza lost control of his car, and veered off the south edge of the roadway. His Ford flipped after Barraza tried to re-enter the road. The vehicle then rolled-over an embankment, coming to rest in a cow pasture.

Barraza received minor injuries, and was taken to Sierra View District Hospital, in Porterville.
