The man who died in a wrongful death accident at Caldwell and Ben Maddox on April 3 has been identified as Derek Weiss. On April 3 Marisela Alvarado was killed and two others were injured in an accident at Englehart and Manning Avenues near Reedley. Reportedly Alvarado was northbound on Englehart when she drove into the path of Armando Gomez. Alvarado was declared dead at the scene of the accident. Reportedly the man was driving eastbound on Caldwell in his Acura when he veered off the road and hit a traffic signal pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
