February 23, 2014- An update to the crash involving 53 year old Michael Baker, in a remote area of Bakersfield on Sunday.
Baker died at 6:42 PM, at the scene of the accident on Franceschi Road. Which is about 7 miles east of Caliente Creek Road.
The Kern County Fire Department reported that the road was only accessible by off road vehicles.

Fatal Car Crash in East Bakersfield: One Fatality
February 23, 2014- In a remote area of east Bakersfield, a 53 year old man's car crashed Sunday night, and the driver was killed.
On the roads of Caliente Creek and Franceschi, Michael Baker's vehicle as he was driving around a switchback, lost control and flipped. The car came to a stop after it hit a tree.
According to officials, Baker got out of his car after running into the tree. He was found unconscious by emergency responders. He died from his injuries.
