Semi Truck Head-on Collision on Weedpatch Highway in Bakersfield, Ends in Fatality

January 20, 2015- A deadly head-on car collision happened in Kern County, on Tuesday.  The big rig accident took place in east Bakersfield, on Weedpatch Highway, at about 9 PM.

A 30 year old driver, from Arvin, was driving a red Ford Focus on Weedpatch Highway, near Edison Highway, when he lost control of the car.  The Focus drove over a raised median and into the opposite lane of traffic.

The automobile crashed head-on into an oncoming semi truck.

The Ford's driver suffered major injuries and was taken to Kern Medical Center, where he later died.  Officers reported that the driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The big rig driver was not hurt.

Porterville Car Collision on Main Street and Grand Avenue

Visalia Elderly Maltreatment Lawyer John Rozier has the following update; On Friday, August 15, 2014, a vehicle collision took place in Tulare County.  The car accident happened in Porterville, at about 5:20 PM.

Brenda Salas, of Lindsay, was driving a white Chevrolet Malibu eastbound on North Grand Avenue.  At the intersection of North Grand and North Main Street, Salas ran a stop sign and collided with a red Ford Focus, driven by Hailey Noland, of Porterville.  The Ford was traveling south on Main Street at about 45-50 mph, when the Chevy Malibu hit the front end of the vehicle.

One passengers in Noland's vehicle; Vanessa Agudo of Strathmore, sustained injuries and was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical, in Visalia.

No other information is known at this time.

Head-on Vehicle Crash in Merced on El Capitan Way

July 31, 2014- A head-on vehicle collision ends in a fatality, in Merced.  The deadly accident  occurred on Thursday, at about 1 AM.

A woman was driving west in a 2003 Ford Focus, on El Capitan Way, when her car veered into the oncoming lane.  The Focus hit a 2004 Ford F-250 pickup truck head-on.  The impact of the collision caused the car to burst into flames.

After the collision, the driver of the pickup truck fled on foot.  The victim was seriously injured and died minutes later at the scene of the accident.

Head-on Collision Injures Three People in Visalia

December 16, 2011- Three people were hurt Friday afternoon, in a crash in Visalia.

A silver Chevy Silverado with two occupants, was traveling south on Ben Maddox Way, when its driver ran through a red light as the Chevy was turning east onto Noble Avenue.

The Chevy collided head-on with a Ford Focus that was headed north on Ben Maddox.


The two people in the Silverado, and the driver of the Ford suffered neck and back injuries. They were taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment.

Fatal Crash Near Hilmar Leaves One Woman Dead

September 3, 2011- A woman was killed in a crash near Hilmar on Sunday, northwest of Fresno. The accident occurred at about 8 PM.

Cassy Mancebo of Turlock, was driving a 2003 Ford Focus east on American Avenue, west of Columbus Avenue. When her car traveled off the south roadway edge. Mancebo turned the Ford left, crossing the road.

The Ford then traveled off the north side of the road, where it crashed into a concrete rail and wooden fence. The car flipped over and came to a stop on its wheels in a cornfield.

Mancebo was thrown from the vehicle, a suffered fatal injuries.

It is reported that Mancebo was not wearing a seat belt and that alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash.

Porterville Man Hits Horse on Highway 99

September 9, 2011- A Porterville man, Luis Gonzalez, collided with a horse on southbound Highway 99, Friday morning, near Pixley.

Gonzalez, was driving a 2003 Ford Focus south on Hwy 99, north of Avenue 72, when he hit an unsecured adult horse standing in the lane. His vehicle was traveling in the fast lane at about 65 to 70 mph when the crash occurred.

The collision removed the entire roof off the Focus. The car went about 200 feet down the freeway and then off the road into a fence on the west side.


Gonzalez sustained major head injuries, and had to be airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

He was the only occupant in the car. It is reported that he was wearing his seat belt.

Crash west of Fresno kills one

June 4, 2010--This mornings 2 vehicle crash west of Fresno took one life.  The accident was at Belmont and Grantland.  A male driver of a Ford Focus either ran a stop sign or pulled out in front of a pickup driving west on Belmont.  The pickup then slammed into the side of the Ford.
