October 17, 2011- Two people were hit by an SUV on Monday afternoon in Bakersfield. The crash occurred at around 2 PM.
The driver of a Chevy Suburban was towing a truck. He thought the trailer came loose and turned his head over his shoulder to look. While looking the driver veered off the roadway and up the curbside, hitting the 14-year-old girl that was walking near Pesante Road and Mesa Drive. He then crashed through a fence and hit an elderly woman in her front yard.
The girl’s suffered moderate injuries, and the woman minor injuries. Both were taken to a local hospital.
