Visalia Senior Abuse
Attorney John L. Rozier has the following update; A high speed car accident took place in Kern County, early Monday, July 7, 2014. The vehicle collision occurred on Highway 99, in Bakersfield.
The California Highway Patrol said that they had tried to pull over an automobile for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The driver drove off onto Highway 58, traveling west, and then merging onto the 99 freeway north.
The car attempted to exit onto Rosedale Highway, but drove off the exit ramp, and rolled over down the embankment.
A man and woman were trapped inside the vehicle after the crash, and emergency crews had to extricate them.
Both people were injured and taken to Kern Medical Center, in Bakersfield, for treatment.

Update: High Speed Chase on Highway 99 Ends in a Crash near Bakersfield
December 1, 2011- A mother and her two kids were trapped inside a car during a high speed chase, that ended in a crash. The accident occurred on Highway 99 near Bakersfield, Thursday night.
LaJohn Richardson was driving his Cadillac, with passenger Sheila Early, and her sons' Jeremiah and Terryion, and also her brother. As they were leaving Tulare to head home to Fresno, Richardson drove south onto Highway 99, instead of north.
A Kern County Sheriff's deputy clocked the Cadillac at about 100 mph, and tried to pull him over. Deputies broke off the chase, but Richardson just kept going.
Richardson lost control of his vehicle and flipped several times on Hwy 99 near a dairy.
Richardson suffered major injuries and was medi-flighted to Kern Medical Center.
Early, her two boys, and her brother were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

High Speed Pursuit Ends in Four Injured in Bakersfield
December 1, 2011- Four people, including two children, were injured in a crash after a high speed chase, south of Bakersfield, Thursday at about 8 PM.
A vehicle, carrying two adults and two kids, was pursued by sheriff's deputies. Speeds reached up to 90 mph. At one point deputies ended the pursuit, because they felt it was too dangerous.
The pursued car flew through the intersection of Bear Mountain Boulevard and Stine Road, where it became airborne, flying through several trees and then flipped over.
The driver suffered major injuries and was medi-flighted to Kern Medical center. The other occupants were also taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
The driver of the car is being investigated for DUI.
