On Tuesday, August 25, 2015, an SUV accident occurred in Fresno. The two-vehicle collision took place on Highway 41, at approximately 1:06 PM.
The CHP reported that the incident happened near the Ashlan Avenue off-ramp, north of Shields Ave., on the northbound freeway. The crash involved a white SUV and a blue or gray Oldsmobile automobile.
The Sport Utility Vehicle, and the sedan both overturned and were on the right side of Hwy 41.
Reports claim that the crash happened because of a motorcycle. But the bike was not involved in the accident. No other details are available at this time.
One or more persons sustained minor injuries and were treated at Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

Fresno SUV Accident on Highway 41, near Ashlan Avenue
August 25, 2015- A two vehicle collision took place in Fresno, on Tuesday. The SUV crash happened on northbound Highway 41, at around 1:06 PM.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the car accident occurred near the Ashlan Avenue off-ramp, just north of Shields Avenue. The wreck involved a white Sport Utility Vehicle, and a blue or grey Oldsmobile sedan, on the Hwy 41 freeway.
The SUV and the automobile were reported to have overturned onto the right-hand side of the highway.
Officers reported that the collision was caused by a motorcycle, that was not involved in the incident.
At least one victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
No other information is known.

Man Critically Injured in Motorcycle Collision on Ashlan Avenue, in Fresno
Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield
Collision Attorney John L. Rozier has the following accident report; On Thursday, July 16, 2015, a man was seriously hurt in a motorcycle accident. The vehicle collision happened in West Central Fresno, at about 5:00 PM.
The motorcyclist was reportedly following a pickup truck, traveling westbound on Ashlan Avenue. For an unknown reason, at the intersection of Hayes Avenue, the biker rear-ended the truck.

The man suffered major injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. It is said that he is in critical condition.
Police have this incident under investigation.

Car Crash on Highway 99 in Fresno Leaves One with Major Injuries
March 11, 2014- The car accident happened in northwest Fresno, early Tuesday morning, on Highway 99.
Melissa Anaya, 25 years old, of Clovis, was driving north on Highway 99 near Ashlan Avenue. She drove off the freeway, running into a metal guardrail, and smashed into a tree.
Anaya was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the collision. She suffered serious injuries in the crash.
The California Highway Patrol report that alcohol might have been a factor in the accident.
Further investigation is required.

Car Crashes into Chinese Restaurant in Clovis
March 5, 2014- Another car accident involving an automobile crashing though a place of business. This time in Clovis, California, on Wednesday between 12:30-12:40 PM.
The driver of a grey Dodge Neon, was trying to park his car at the China to Go restaurant, on the intersection of Fowler Avenue and Ashlan Avenue, in Clovis. He accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, and drove the Dodge through the entrance of the restaurant. It shattered the glass store front, and the adjacent storefront's glass as well.
There were several people eating lunch inside the restaurant, but only one person is reported to have been injured.

Motorcycle Crash in Clovis After Police Chase
February 22, 2014- Clovis Police tried to pull over a motorcycle for traffic violations, when it sped away and eventually crashed on Saturday. The accident occurred at about 8:30 AM.
46 year old Richard Cooper was riding a motorcycle, reportedly without a helmet, when he and his female passenger were told to stop by the cops. Cooper did not stop and drove the bike into oncoming traffic on Peach Avenue and Richert Avenue.
Near Peach and Ashlan avenues, the motorcycle hit a truck traveling south on Peach, knocking the two people off the bike.
Cooper was not hurt and officers arrested him. The female passenger was taken to the hospital for injuries.
Officials later learned that the motorcycle was stolen from Fresno, California.
The truck that was involved in the collision took off after the crash, and was found abandoned down the road. Later the driver turned himself in. Officers say he was driving without a license.

Car Plunges into Canal in Fresno
December 27, 2011- A car plunged into a canal in Fresno, near Ashlan Avenue and Highway 168, at about 7:05 AM.
The accident occurred on Highway 168's eastbound off ramp at Ashlan Avenue. A white Toyota Corolla crashed through a chain link fence and into the Leaky Acres ponding basin canal.
The driver was not injured in the crash.

Highway 99 Crash Totals Two Vehicles in Fresno
November 15, 2011- A two vehicle crash on Highway 99 occurred in Fresno, Tuesday night.
The accident happened just north of Ashlan Avenue, on Hwy 99. A man driving a Corvette drove into the center lane and clipped a white car.
Both cars spun out. The white car flipped over and the Corvette crashed into the center divide.
Crews had to use the jaws of life to get the Corvette’s driver out of his vehicle.
No one was seriously injured from the collision.
The CHP said that the driver of the Corvette admitted that he had been drinking alcohol.

April 20 dui accident in Fresno
On April 20 a driver was arrested for driving under the influence after causing a three-vehicle accident. Reportedly the accident happened at the intersection of Ashlan Avenue and Golden State Boulevard and involved three vehicles. The driver who caused the accident complained of chest pain caused by a deployed air bag. That was the only reported injury. No further details are available at this time.

October 5 fatal train accident in Fresno
On October 5 Daniel Madsen was pronounced dead after being hit by a train near the intersection of Fruit Avenue and Ashlan Avenue in Fresno. Reportedly twelve-year-old Madsen was walking to school at Wawona Middle School with his sister and some friend when his sister and a friend ran north on Fruit in front of an oncoming train. Madsen followed the girls and ignored the crossing arms that had been lowered. The conductor of the train sounded the train’s horn, but Daniel was hit as he crossed the tracks. This is the second train accident at this location in recent memory that has resulted in death. In March 2009 thirteen-year-old Stacy Frierson was was killed while crossing the tracks when he was walking home from Cooper Middle School. www.nelsonrozier.com

November 20 Series of accidents on Highway 41
On November 20 a series of accidents on Highway 41 caused the northbound lanes to be backed up from the Highway 180 interchange to north of Ashlan Avenue. Two accidents occurred near Ashlan Avenue, one north of Ashlan and the other south. Ambulances were on the scene, but there is no information on the injury status of the motorists. A third accident occurred around the same time on the northbound onramp at Shields Avenue. According to the CHP traffic was either stopped or moving less than 5 mph both ways including backing onto the eastbound 180 traffic.
