Drunk Driving Pickup Truck Collision, in Bakersfield, on Brimhall Road

Central California Car Collision Lawyer John L. Rozier has the following report; On Tuesday, August 18, 2015, a drunk driving accident took place in Bakersfield.  The pickup truck crash occurred at around 3:40 AM, on Brimhall Road.

A GMC Sierra truck, driven by J. Teagarden, 20 years old, was traveling down Brimhall Road.  In the pickup were passengers; Richard Ellis, and Justin Pensinger.

East of Highway 43, the Sierra drifted off the roadway and rolled over several times.

Pensinger suffered major injuries.  He was medi-flighted to Kern Medical Center, for treatment.  Teagarden and Ellis received minor to moderate injuries.

Teagarden was arrested for driving while under the influence.

Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Sunset Boulevard, Caused by Drunk Driver, near Arvin

Kern, Fresno, and Tulare County Wrongful Death Attorney John Rozier has the following update; On Wednesday, May 6, 2015, a motorcyclist was killed in a vehicle accident.  The pickup truck collision occurred near Arvin, at 6:10 PM.

The motorcyclist has been identified as Danny Darnell Cottengim, 57, of Bakersfield.  Cottengim was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Sunset Boulevard, when he was struck by a white pickup truck, near Towerline Road.

Angel Jimenez, the driver of the truck had been traveling west on Sunset, when he turned suddenly in front of the biker, and the two vehicles collided.  Cottengim was thrown from the bike and died at the scene.

Jimenez who was driving drunk at the time of the crash, was arrested.  He and his wife were uninjured.

Motorcycle Accident Leads to Fatality on Sunset Boulevard in Kern County

May 6, 2015- A suspected DUI collision leads to a drivers arrest in Kern County.  The fatal motorcycle accident happened near Arvin, southeast of Bakersfield, on Wednesday evening.

A white pickup truck, driven by Angel Jimenez, 52, and his wife, both from Arvin, were headed west on Sunset Boulevard.  The pickup truck turned, near Tower Line Road, into the path of a man riding on a motorcycle.

Upon impact with the truck, the motorcyclist was ejected from his bike.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jimenez and his wife were not injured.

The California Highway Patrol reported that Jimenez had a blood-alcohol level that was greater than .08.  He was arrested at the scene of the crash for drunk driving.

Police Car Hit in DUI Vehicle Collision on Shaw & Fruit Avenues in Fresno

Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield Accident Lawyer John L. Rozier has the following collision report; On Sunday, March 1, 2015, a car crash leaves two police officers injured.  The automobile accident, which took place in central Fresno, occurred at about 3 AM.

Regina Garcia, who was suspected of driving while under the influence, was traveling at about 65 miles per hour.  At the intersection of Shaw and Fruit avenues, the pickup truck ran a red light and crashed into a patrol car that had two officers inside.

The police cruiser then collided with a light pole.  The pickup truck, upon impact, then hit a fire hydrant, which caused water to flood the intersection.  Garcia attempted to flee the scene of the crash.

Both officers sustained minor injuries and were taken to Clovis Community Hospital for treatment.  They have since been released.

Garcia was arrested for DUI and other infractions.

DUI Collision on Blackstone and Barstow Avenues in Fresno

February 25, 2015- An automobile collision occurred in Fresno, on Wednesday.  The early morning car crash happened on Blackstone and Barstow avenues, at about 3 AM.

It is reported that a 28 year old man was driving southbound on Blackstone Avenue.  He veered onto the median and hit two trees, before the intersection of Barstow Avenue.

Officers suspect that the man was intoxicated while driving.

The driver suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.  His condition is not know at this time.

Fatal Drunk Driving Car Collision on Highway 43, in Tulare County

Central California Car Collision Attorney John L. Rozier has the following report; On Sunday December 28, 2014, a head-on vehicle accident ends in fatality, in Tulare County.  The DUI car collision happened near Delano on Highway 43, at approximately 2:25 AM.

A 22 year old female driver, Otilia Pineda, of Allensworth, was traveling in a 2003 GMC truck.  She was driving northbound on Highway 43, when the pickup drove into the oncoming traffic in the southbound lanes, south of Avenue 16.

A 1995 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Royale sedan, driven by a man in his 50's, was head south on the highway at the time the GMC came towards it.  The car tried to avoid the pickup truck by swerving onto the right shoulder of the road.  The vehicles collided head-on.

The Oldsmobile driver died at the scene of the accident.

Pineda, who had one prior for driving while intoxicated, and was on probation, fled the crash.  She was found by police at her house and was arrested.

Highway 41 Vehicle Collision Caused By Intoxicated Driver in Madera County

On Sunday, January 4, 2015, an intoxicated driver was responsible for a head-on car collision in Madera County.  The vehicle accident took place on northbound Highway 41, at about 8 PM.

A driver of a blue Dodge pickup truck was driving southbound on Highway 41, when he swerved onto the north side of the highway, near Avenue 12.

The pickup truck drove head-on into a white sedan, driven by a woman from Coarsegold.  The car was sent into a guardrail after the vehicles collided.  The Dodge truck overturned.

The drivers in both vehicles were trapped inside until emergency officials were able to rescue them.  The victims suffered minor injuries and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

Reports say that the driver, whose truck was registered in Nevada, was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Madera County DUI Car Accident on Highway 41, near Avenue 12

Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield Collision Lawyer John L. Rozier has the following accident report; On Sunday, January 4, 2015, a drunk driving crash happened in Madera County.  The head-on vehicle collision occurred on Highway 41, near Avenue 12, at about 8 PM.

A blue Dodge pickup truck was traveling south on Highway 41.  The driver veered into the northbound lanes of the freeway and into the path of a white automobile.  The two vehicles collided head-on.  

The impact caused the sedan to hit the guardrail, while the Dodge rolled over.

The female driver, of Coarsegold, and the truck's driver whose vehicle was registered in Nevada, were trapped in their cars.

Both victims received only minor injuries and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

It is reported that the man driving the pickup had been driving while intoxicated.

Head-on Automobile Collision on Highway 41, in Madera County

January 4, 2015- A head-on car accident was caused by drunk driving, on Highway 41, on Sunday.  The DUI vehicle collision took place in Madera County, at approximately 8 PM.

California Highway Patrol said the driver of a blue Dodge pickup truck was southbound on Highway 41, when it swerved into the opposite lanes of traffic, near Avenue 12.

The Dodge truck ran into a white sedan, driven by a female driver from Coarsegold, which sent the car crashing into the guardrail.  The pickup then overturned.

Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles, until emergency personnel could extricate them.  They sustained minor injuries and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

Officers determined that the driver of the truck was driving while under the influence of alcohol.  His Dodge was registered in Nevada.

Hit and Run Vehicle Accident near Delano on Highway 43, Ends in Fatality

On Sunday, December 28, 2014, a hit and run collision ends fatally in Tulare County.  The head-on car accident caused by a drunk driver, occurred near Delano, at about 2:25 AM.

Otilia Pineda, 22 years old, of Allensworth, was driving a 2003 GMC truck, north on Highway 43, northwest of Delano.  The pickup veered into the southbound lane of the highway, into oncoming traffic.

A man, in his 50's, was traveling in a 1995 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Royale in the southbound lane, when the GMC came towards it.  The Oldsmobile swerved onto the right shoulder, but couldn't avoid the collision.  The two vehicle hit head-on, just south of Avenue 16.

The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Pineda fled the scene of the accident, and was later found at her house.  She was arrested for driving while intoxicated and other charges.  She had one prior DUI and was on probation when the collision happened.

Drunk Driving Accident Kills One on Highway 43, near Delano

Tulare County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident update; On Sunday, December 28, 2014, a head-on collision ended in fatality.  The DUI car accident took place northwest of Delano, on Highway 43, at about 2:25 AM.

A 2003 GMC pickup truck, driven by Otilia Pineda, of Allensworth, was northbound on Highway 43.  Just south of Avenue 16, the pickup drifted into the opposite lane of traffic.

A 1995 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Royale, was traveling south on the highway when the GMC veered into the lane.  The male driver, in his 50's, attempted to avoid the collision, by swerving onto the right shoulder of the road.  But the vehicles crashed head-on.

Pineda was reported to have fled the scene of the wreck.  Officers found her at her home, and arrested her for driving under the influence and other crimes.  She was on probation for one prior DUI at the time of the accident.

The driver of the Oldsmobile died at the scene.

Head-on Collision Ends in Fatality near Delano, in Tulare County

December 28, 2014- A vehicle accident ends fatally in southern Tulare County.  The head-on crash took place northwest of Delano, on Sunday, at about 2:25 AM.  Alcohol is reported to have possibly been a factor.

Otilia Pineda, 22, of Allensworth, was driving a 2003 GMC pickup truck, north on Highway 43, south of Avenue 16.  The truck veered into the southbound lane of the highway, and into the path of a 1995 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Royale.

The male driver of the Oldsmobile swerved onto the right shoulder of the roadway, but was unable to avoid the collision.

Pineda fled the scene of the crash, but authorities found and arrested her at her home a short time later.  Officers reported that she had one prior DUI and was on probation at the time of the accident.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.  His name has not yet been released, but he is said to have been in his 50's.

Hit and Run Automobile Accident Ends in Fatality in Fresno

November 22, 2014- A drunk driving car collision killed two people in Fresno.  The SUV hit and run accident took place on Saturday, at about 11:20 PM.

The intoxicated driver, Rafael Arce Pedroza, was traveling on Chestnut Avenue, in an Suzuki SUV, at a high rate of speed.  At the same time a Nissan Pathfinder was stopped on Chestnut, at the intersection of Jensen Avenue.

The Pathfinder, which was driven by Jacqueline Rivera, was waiting in the right-hand lane, for the light to turn green.  Rivera was in the car with her husband Jose Chavez, their son and daughter; Jose and Aaliyah, and their son's girlfriend; Savanni Ung.

The Suzuki smashed into the back of the Nissan while it was stopped at the traffic signal.  The impact caused the Pathfinder to overturn three times.  It came to rest after it hit a light pole.  The vehicle then caught fire from a ruptured gas tank.

Jose Chavez, his son, and the girlfriend were able to escape the burning car.  They were injured and taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

Jacqueline Rivera, and Aaliyah, 11 years of age, who were reported to have been unconscious, were not rescued in time.  They were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

After the crash, Pedroza ran away on foot into an apartment complex.  He was later found by officers, in his place of residence.  He was arrested, and then taken to the hospital for treatment of his wounds.

Pedroza faces multiple charges, including vehicular manslaughter and DUI.

DUI Collision on Highway 41 near Hanford Involving Paso Robles Man

San Joaquin Valley Automobile Accident Lawyer John Rozier has the subsequent update; On Saturday, November 1, 2014 a suspected intoxicated driver was arrested after a car accident, in Kings County.  The vehicle collision happened on Highway 41, near Hanford, just before midnight.

Jeffrey Rougeot, of Paso Robles, was traveling northbound on Highway 41, when he was reported to have made a u-turn into the path of another vehicle.  That vehicle was driven by Natalia Castellano, 36 years old, who was head south on the freeway.

Both Rougeot and Castellano suffered serious injuries and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

Castellano also had two children in her car; a 1 year old boy and a 3 year old girl.  The kids both sustained minor injuries.

Jeffrey Rougeot has been arrested on DUI charges.

DUI Auto Collision in the Area of Niles Avenue and Pesante Road, in Bakersfield

September 29, 2014- An alleged DUI accident leads to an overturned vehicle in Kern County.  The car collision happened in Bakersfield, on Monday morning.

The CHP reported that a man was speeding in a parking lot at Niles Avenue and Pesante Road.  The driver lost control of the vehicle and the car hit a pole.  The automobile then overturned and the man was ejected.

The driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.  The California Highway Patrol said they suspected of driving while under the influence.

Tehachapi Car Accident on Westwood Boulevard, Vehicle Hits Power Pole

Visalia Nursing Home Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident report; On Monday, October 20, 2014, an automobile accident knocks out power pole in Kern County.  The car collision occurred in Tehachapi, at approximately 11 AM.

A Toyota Camry, driven by Rhonda Keeler, was traveling on Westwood Boulevard, when she crashed into a power pole, and then into a fence.

Keeler continued to drive the vehicle southbound and onto Reeves Street, before stopping the Toyota.  She is suspected of driving while under the influence.

DUI Accident in Fresno County on Englehart and Dinuba Avenues

September 28, 2014- A pickup truck collision near Reedley, killed one and injured others, on Sunday.  The vehicle accident happened at about 9:20 PM, in Fresno County.

Rene Resendez, was driving a GMC pickup truck, with passenger Javier Hernandez, of Parlier.  Resendez was reported to have been driving drunk when he ran a stop sign, at the intersection of Englehart Avenue and Dinuba Avenue, east of Reedley.

The GMC crashed into a Nissan Altima sedan, that had four occupants, including driver Omar Torres-Lopez, of Reedley.  The pickup truck overturned from the impact.  Hernandez, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the pickup.  He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The four victims in the Nissan suffered minor to major injuries.  Resendez sustained moderate injuries.  They were all transported to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno, for treatment.

Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision in Fresno on Fresno Street & Herndon Avenue

Visalia Elderly Maltreatment Lawyer John Rozier has the following report; On Thursday, August 14, 2014, a stolen SUV caused a multiple vehicle collision.  The car accident happened in Fresno, at about 6:55 AM.

Roberta Lynn Soto, 45 years old, was driving a stolen, red Kia Sorento north, on Fresno Street.  At the intersection of Fresno St. and Herndon Avenue, Soto ran a red light.  At the same time a silver 2008 Mazda, driven by Matthew Harkenrider, of Clovis, was westbound on Herndon Ave.

The Kia smashed into the Mazda, and the impact sent both vehicles into three other cars that were stopped at the intersection.

Harkenrider was killed instantly in the crash.  Six other people, including Soto, sustained moderate injuries, and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Soto was arrested at the hospital and faces charges for vehicular manslaughter, and driving while under the influence.

Van Collides With Parked Car in Hanford, on 11 1/2 Avenue

Visalia Senior Citizen Abuse Lawyer John L. Rozier has the following accident update; On Sunday, August 10, 2014, a woman was involved in a DUI car collision.  The Kings County automobile crash took place in Hanford, at about 4:35 PM.

Amy Espinoza, 37 years old, was driving her van south on 11 1/2 Avenue.  The van swerved off the roadway, and hit a tree on the east side.  After the vehicle struck the tree, it then collided with a car that was parked in the driveway of a home.

The impact of the collision sent the parked car into the house and caused moderate damage to the garage.

Hanford Police arrested Espinoza for suspected driving while under the influence of alcohol and prescription medications.

Three Injured in Car Accident in Fresno County near Sanger

May 25, 2014- A car crash leaves three people injured in Fresno County.  The vehicle accident occurred on Sunday, east of Sanger, at approximately 8:30 PM.

A 26 year old man, from Orosi, was driving a 2010 Toyota south on Frankwood Avenue, north of Highway 180.  He lost control of the car and smashed into a couple trees, before coming to a stop.

There were four people in the vehicle, and three were not wearing seatbelts.

Three of the occupants suffered major injuries.  All four people were taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

The driver has been charged with felony DUI.
