Highway 99 Accident Involving Wrong Way Driver in Madera County

July 2, 2014- A wrong way driver ends up in a car accident on Highway 99.  The collision occurred in Madera County, on Wednesday, at approximately 1 AM.

Tania D. Equizabel, 23 years old, of Clovis, was driving a white Kia Optima when she entered the northbound lanes of Highway 99.  She was traveling the wrong way southbound on the highway, north of Avenue 12.

As she was driving the wrong way on the freeway, Equizabel struck a concrete barrier and was seriously injured.

The driver was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno, for treatment.

Update: Car Crashes into Parked Semi Truck in Modesto

February 21, 2012- An update to the accident that happened on Tuesday, in Modesto, when a Kia Optima smashed into a parked big rig.

The passenger that was killed in the crash has been identified as Christopher McCoy, of Ceres.

The 19 year-old Modesto driver suffered major injuries. He is expected to recover.
