Visalia Fatal Car Crash on Mineral King

May 26, 2011--Last Thursday night's fatal collision in Visalia took the life of an 18 year old male named Connor Clark.  It occurred on Mineral King at North Burke Street at about 10 pm.  He was driving a white 2002 Jeep westbound on Mineral King and was hit by a 2008 Prius.

The Toyota driver, Owen Kim of Porterville was not injured, according to early reports. 

Knowing little of the facts of this accident, it would appear that relevant issues include whether either party was speeding, whether seat belts were in use and the availability of liability insurance and uninsured motorist coverages for this claim.  It will also need to be determined if either party was on the job.

January 27 accident in Visalia at Giddings and Mineral King

On January 27 an accident occurred at Giddings and Mineral King in Visalia sending Noha Thomas to the hospital. Thomas was in a Volvo that failed to stop at a red light when the Volvo was hit by a Hummer H3. The accident caused the intersection to be closed for close to an hour. http://www.nelsonrozier.com/

November 27 accident in Visalia at Demaree Street and Mineral King Avenue kills one

On November 27 a pickup truck crashed into a traffic pole at Demaree Street and Mineral King Avenue, killing the driver. Reportedly, the pickup failed to yield during a traffic stop. The driver was driving the wrong way in the downtown area near Mineral King and Locust Street when officers tried to stop him. The pickup continued down Mineral King, through the Demaree overpass signal, crashing into the signal light on the southwest corner of the intersection. The vehicle was immediately engulfed in flames and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Bicycle Accident on Mineral King

A legally blind UPS worker was struck by a motorist while riding his bicycle on Mineral King at the intersection of Ben Maddox in Visalia.  Thus far there have been 3 surgeries to his wrist and treatment continues.  Suit was filed by the law firm of Nelson & Rozier on April 16, 2009.  The opposing driver was on the job at the time of the accident.  This action will proceed in the Tulare County Superior Court.  Trial is set for April 10, 2010.
