Tulare County Car Crash Sends Vehicle Over Embankment, on Highway 198, at Lake Kaweah

Visalia Accident Attorney John Rozier has the subsequent collision report; On Thursday, August 20, 2015, an automobile crash took place in Tulare County.  The car accident happened near Lake Kaweah, on Highway 198, at around 8:00 AM.

The California Highway Patrol said the collision involved one to two vehicles.  One of the cars ended up over the embankment on the highway.  One man was inside the automobile that went off the cliff.

At least one person suffered major injuries.

Highway 198 Vehicle Collision at Lake Kaweah, East of Visalia

On Thursday, August 20, 2015, a car accident left at least one person seriously injured, in Tulare County.  The vehicle collision occurred on Highway 198, east of Visalia, at Lake Kaweah, at about 8 AM.

The CHP reported that the incident had one or two vehicles involved.  An automobile went over the edge of the highway's embankment.  That car had one man inside.

The accident led to severe injuries.  No reports on how many people were hurt.

Tulare County Car Accident Ends with Vehicle Over Cliff on Highway 198, at Lake Kaweah

August 20, 2015- A serious vehicle accident took place in Tulare County, east of Visalia, on Thursday.  The car collision happened on Highway 198, at Lake Kaweah, at approximately 8:00 AM.

The California Highway Patrol have reported that the crash involved one to two vehicles.  One of the cars went over the highway's embankment, with one male occupant inside.

The incident led to major injuries for the victims.

Automobile Accident on Highway 198, near Road 156, in Visalia

A pickup truck hauling a trailer and a white car collided on the 198 freeway, near Road 156.  Traffic came to a halt as a result of the incident.

Tulare County Pickup Truck and Car Collision in Visalia, on Highway 198

On Monday, August 10, 2015, a car accident occurred on Highway 198, in Visalia.  The Tulare County pickup truck collision took place in the afternoon hours, on the westbound freeway.

A white automobile and a pickup with a trailer hitched to it, crashed into each other near Road 156.  Traffic on the highway was stopped for clean up and an investigation.

Vehicle Accident on Westbound Highway 198, in Visalia

August 10, 2015- A vehicle collision stopped traffic in Visalia, on Monday afternoon.  The Tulare County car and truck accident happened on Highway 198.

Officers reported that the crash involved a white automobile and a truck hauling a trailer.  The incident occurred on the westbound freeway of Hwy 198, near Road 156.

Fatal SUV Collision on Highway 198, in Lemoore

July 7, 2016- A fatal automobile accident took place in Lemoore, on Tuesday.  The Kings County SUV collision happened on Highway 198, at about 9:26 PM.

A driver of a red Lexus Sport Utility Vehicle was eastbound on Highway 198.  The Lexus exited the freeway through the 19th Avenue off-ramp.  As the SUV drove toward 19th Avenue, the driver failed to make a left turn in time, and entered the intersection.

The Lexus went off the west-side embankment, rolled several times, and came to rest in a field.

The driver, and two female passengers suffered major injuries.  They were airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.  One of the passengers died in the hospital.  The condition of the other two victims is not available at this time.

The car accident is under investigation.

Dense Fog Caused 20 Car Accidents on Highway 198, Between Lemoore and Hanford

Highway 198 Fog-Related Vehicle Collisions Between Lemoore and Hanford

A total of twenty automobile collisions took place in Kings County, on Tuesday, February 3, 2015.  The vehicle accidents all happened on eastbound Highway 198, and involved at least 42 cars,  The first crash began at approximately 7:45 AM, near 14th Avenue, between Hanford and Lemoore.

The CHP said that the collisions were all fog-related.  Visibility at the time of the wrecks was at 600-1200 feet.

Twenty Separate Vehicle Collisions Along Highway 198, in Kings County, Caused by Fog

Foggy Weather Causes 20 Car Accidents on Highway 198 near Hanford

February 3, 2015- Twenty car collisions, involving 42 vehicles were caused by low visibility because of fog, on Highway 198.  The Kings County crashes happened near Hanford, on Tuesday, starting at about 7:45 AM.

The four-mile stretch of the eastbound Highway 198, between Lemoore and Hanford was the area of the incidents, which started near 14th Avenue.

Officers reported that at the time of the collisions motorists could only see between 600 and 1,200 feet in front of their automobiles.

At least five people were hurt, with injuries ranging from minor to moderate.  They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Three-Car Pileup Involving Semi Truck on Highway 198, in Tulare County

On Wednesday, January 14, 2015, a three-car pileup, which involved a big rig, took place in Tulare County.  The multiple vehicle collision happened on Highway 198, west of Visalia, at approximately 9:25 AM.  It is reported that there was low visibility from the fog, at the time of the accident.

A tractor-trailer driven by Steve L. Frisby, of Visalia attempted to turn onto Hwy 198, from Road 64.  The big rig pulled out into the intersection in front of a red Lincoln MKZ, driven by Claudia De Esquivel.

De Esquivel hit the brakes, but was unable to stop in time, and smashed into the back of the big rig.  A grey 2008 Acura automobile, driven by Cheriee Brown, was driving behind the Lincoln when the accident happened.  The Acura hit the back of the MKZ and pinned it underneath the semi.

De Esquivel and Brown sustained moderate injuries and were taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.

Frisby was unharmed in the incident.

Multi-Vehicle Crash West of Visalia, on Highway 198

Visalia Collision Attorney John Rozier has the following report; On Wednesday, January 14, 2015, a 3-vehicle pileup occurred on Highway 198 and Road 64, near Highway 99.  The multi-car accident happened in Tulare County, at about 9:25 AM, as a result of low visibility from the fog.

A semi truck, driven by Steve L. Frisby, of Visalia, turned from Road 64 onto the highway.  At the same time a red Lincoln MKZ, traveling in the slow lane on Hwy 198, was headed towards the big rig.

As the tractor-trailer turned into the intersection, the Lincoln, driven by Claudia De Esquivel, hit the back of the vehicle.  De Esquivel had attempted to stop before the crash, but was unable to.

Cheriee Brown was driving a gray 2008 Acura car when she smashed into the back of the Lincoln.  The impact pushed the MKZ under the semi truck.

Brown and De Esquivel suffered moderate injuries.  They were taken for treatment, to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.

Frisby wasn't hurt in the collision.

Officers reported that the foggy weather played a part in the incident.

Tulare County Multiple Vehicle Accident on Highway 198, near Visalia

January 14, 2015- A three-vehicle collision caused by fog, took place on Highway 198, on Wednesday.  The big rig accident happened west of Visalia, in Tulare County, at approximately 9:25 AM.

Steve L. Frisby, of Visalia, was driving his tractor-trailer on Road 64, when he attempt to turn onto the highway.  There was low visibility as a result of the fog, and Frisby did not see an automobile headed towards him, in the slow lane.

The semi truck pulled out into the intersection, and the red Lincoln MKZ, driven by Claudia De Esquivel, crashed into it.  De Esquivel tried to stop in time, but was unable to avoid the collision.  The Lincoln hit the back of the big rig.

A grey 2008 Acura, driven by Cheriee Brown, was following behind the Lincoln when the initial crash happened.  The Acura collided into the back of the first auto and pinned it under the semi truck.

Both women sustained moderate injuries and were taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.

Frisby was not injured in the incident.

Three Vehicle Pileup in Tulare County on Highway 198, is Fog-Related

On Wednesday, January 14, 2015, a semi truck collision took place on Highway 198, in Tulare County.  The fog-related car accident happened west of Visalia, at approximately 9:25 AM.

Steve Frisby, of Visalia, was driving his big rig on Road 64,  He attempted to turn onto Highway 198 and pulled out into the intersection, right in the path of a red Lincoln MKZ.

Claudia De Esquivel, 34 years old, was driving the Lincoln, when the tractor-trailer turned in front of her.  She tried to stop in time, but the automobile hit the rear of the rig.

A 2008 gray Acura, driven by Cheriee Brown, then collided into the back of the Lincoln.  The impact pushed the red car under the backside of the semi truck.

De Esquivel and Brown sustained moderate injuries, and were taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.

Frisby was uninjured in the incident.

Officials have reported that the foggy weather was a major cause of the accident.

Automobile Collision with Big Rig on Highway 198 Near Highway 99, West of Visalia

Tulare County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident update; On January 14, 2015, two cars and a semi truck collided, because of low visibility, just west of Visalia.  The three-vehicle pileup happened at Highway 198 and Road 64, on Wednesday, at about 9:25 AM.

A semi truck, driven by Steve Frisby, of Visalia, was turning from Road 64, onto Highway 198.  The weather was foggy, and Frisby failed to see a red Lincoln MKZ in the slow lane and pulled out into the intersection, right in front of it.

The Lincoln, which was driven by Claudia De Esquivel, 34, of Visalia, attempted to stop to avoid the big rig, but the car crashed into the rear of the truck.

Cheriee Brown was driving a grey 2008 Acura directly behind the Lincoln and also collided with the other two vehicles.  The Acura struck the back of the MKZ and pinned it under the tractor-trailer.

Brown and De Esquivel suffered moderate injuries.  They were taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.

Frisby was not hurt in the crash.

The CHP said that the fog played a major factor in the collision.

Pileup Crash With Semi Truck on Highway 198, in Tulare County

January 14, 2015- A three-vehicle collision which involved a big rig occurred on Highway 198, at Road 64.  The semi truck accident happened on Wednesday, in Tulare County, near Highway 99, at about 9:25 AM.

The crash took place on the westbound freeway, when two vehicles collided into the tractor-trailer.  The cars were trapped under the rear of the semi.

Vehicle Accident Between Pickup and Semi Truck on Highway 198, near Visalia

San Joaquin Valley Automobile Accident Lawyer John Rozier has the subsequent update; On Saturday, December 20, 2014, a fatal vehicle collision happened on Highway 198.  The Tulare County semi truck accident occurred just west of Visalia, at approximately 1:42 PM.

A 1999 Chevy Silverado pickup truck was traveling east on Highway 198, near Road 60.  The truck, which was driven by Joseph Oliveira, of Porterville, was driving in the lefthand lane on the freeway.

For an unknown reason the Chevrolet drifted into the right lane and smashed into the back of a big rig, that was driven by William Weber, of Visalia.  The semi was carrying milk at the time of the crash.

Oliveira was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.  It is reported that he was not wearing his seat belt when the incident happened.

Weber was reported to have been uninjured.

Tulare County Big Rig Accident on Highway 198, Near Visalia

On Saturday, December 20, 2014, a pickup truck collided with a semi truck on Highway 198.  A Porterville man was killed in the vehicle collision that took place west of Visalia, at about 1:42 PM.

Joseph Oliveira, 44, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado, eastbound on Highway 198, east of Road 60.  The pickup truck was in the left lane of the freeway, when for an unexplained reason the vehicle veered into the right-hand lane and ran into the back of a tractor-trailer carrying milk.

Oliveira was reported to have not been wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.  He died at the scene of the crash.

The big rig driver, William Weber, of Visalia, was not harmed in the collision.

Highway 198 Pickup Truck and Big Rig Collision, West of Visalia

December 20, 2014- A Porterville man was killed in a vehicle accident with a semi truck, on Highway 198.  The pickup truck collision happened just west of Visalia, on Saturday, at about 1:42 PM.

A white, 1999 Chevy Silverado pickup truck, driven by Joseph Oliveira, 44 years old, was traveling east on Highway 198, in the left lane.  For an unknown reason, the Chevrolet drifted into the right lane of the freeway, and smashed into the back of a big rig carrying milk.  The accident took place east of Road 60.

Oliveira was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.  It has been reported that he was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the incident.

The driver of the semi truck, William Weber, of Visalia, was not injured in the wreck.
