October 30, 2009--The two pilots who overshot their destination by several miles after being out of radio contact for 91 minutes claim they were distracted by their laptops. A move is now afloat to ban electronic devices in cockpits.
Similar bans of texting and cell phone usage for motor vehicle drivers are being enacted across the U.S. including in California.
