Mulitple Vehicle Collision on Highway 99 After One Car Catches Fire; Bakersfield

May 11, 2014- A car caught fire on Highway 99, in Kern County, causing a four vehicle collision.  The accident happened in Bakersfield, on Sunday, at about 1:47 PM.

The vehicle, which was northbound on Highway 99, burst into flames at Olive Drive.  The fire caused four other automobiles to collide.

There are no reports on whether anyone was hurt in the crash.  Further information will be reported as it is received.

Highway 99 Vehicle Collision near Olive Drive in Bakersfield

April 24, 2014- A car crash on Highway 99 occurred as a result of a drunk driver, in Kern County.  The accident happened in Bakersfield, early Thursday.

Stephany Rosalinda Cisneros, of McFarland, was driving south on Highway 99, when she smashed into the back of a pickup truck, near Olive Drive.  The collision caused Cisneros to drive off the road, and run into a tree.  Her vehicle then flipped over from the impact.

Cisneros suffered minor injuries.  She was arrested on charges of DUI.

The people in the pickup truck were reportedly not injured in the accident.

Bakersfield Car Collision on Olive Drive

March 24, 2014-  A multiple auto accident happened in Bakersfield, when a car ran a red light.  The Kern County crash took place Monday morning on Olive Drive.

A white,Toyota vehicle, headed west on Olive Drive was reported to have driven through a red light at the Knudsen Drive intersection.  The car collided with an eastbound Ford truck.

Two people in the Toyota sustained moderate injuries and were taken by ambulance to Kern Medical Center.  A person in the Ford was also hurt and taken to San Joaquin Community Hospital.

Officers reported that alcohol was involved in the incident.

Highway 99 Multi-Vehicle Accident in Bakersfield

March 21, 2014- A 9 vehicle collision took place Friday, on Highway 99, in Kern County.  The Bakersfield accident happened at about 4 PM.

The collision occurred on southbound Highway 99, just south of Olive Drive, and involved multiple automobiles, including a big rig truck.  There was damage to the semi truck and the other cars.

Traffic was back up for about 10 miles, while roads were being cleaned up of fluid and debris.  Many injuries were reported in the crash, and victims were taken to Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield.

No other information is available at this time.
