SUV Collision in Bakersfield on 18th & Q Streets

May 19, 2014- A truck and SUV were involved in a vehicle accident, which knocked out a fire hydrant, in Kern County.  The crash happened in Bakersfield, California, on Monday night.

A red pickup truck, and a Sport Utility Vehicle collided at the intersection of 18th Street and Q Street.  The impact of the collision sent the SUV into a fire hydrant.  The hydrant was knocked off, and water shot out all over the roadway.

It is reported that there were moderate injuries from the accident.

Fatality in Madera Motorcycle Accident

March 22, 2014- A man from Madera died in a vehicle collision, on Saturday.  The fatal crash happened just before noon in Madera, California.

Roger Godinez, 20 years old, of Madera was riding his motorcycle, when the bike collided with a Ford pickup truck at the intersection of Yosemite Avenue, and Q Street.

Godinez, the motorcyclist, was killed at the scene of the accident.  No reports on whether the driver of the Ford was hurt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
