Fresno County Car Crash Ends in Fatality, at Manning Avenue and Hills Valley Road

On Wednesday, September 2, 2015, a vehicle collision ended in fatality, near Orange Cove.  The Fresno County automobile accident happened at approximately 5:30 PM.

A Squaw Valley man, 77, was driving a 1985 Nissan, headed east on Manning Avenue.  The driver was reported to have not stopped at the intersection of Manning and S. Hills Valley Road.

The Nissan crashed into a 2000 Toyota, driven by a 27 year old man from Orange Cove, who was traveling southbound on Hills Valley.  Authorities reported that both vehicles overturned, and at least one of them caught fire.

The 77 year old man was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.  He was pronounced dead while in the hospital.

The Toyota's driver sustained minor injuries.  He was taken by ambulance to Reedley Hospital.

There was a passenger in each of the vehicles, and both were also hospitalized.

While our condolences go out to the friends and family of the victim, we recognize that no monetary sum can ease the pain and loss felt after a tragedy such as this. However, just monetary compensation can help ease the burden of medical bills, final expenses, and help support any dependents left behind by the deceased.

Fresno County Van Accident Ends Fatally on American Avenue, near Orange Cove

San Joaquin Valley Automobile Accident Lawyer John Rozier has the following report; On Friday, January 9, 2015, four people were killed in a big rig accident.  A van and semi truck were involved in the collision, that occurred near Orange Cove, in Fresno County.

A Chevrolet Astro van which was carrying nine farm workers, from Porterville, was headed down American Avenue.  The driver, Augustin Mendoza, 39, attempted to pass a tractor-trailer that was about to turn left, at the intersection of Navelencia Avenue.

The Chevy crashed into the front of the big rig, and cause the rig to overturn.  Four victims in the Astro van, which could legally only hold eight people, were ejected from the vehicle,  They were Aguileo Vazquez Vargas, his son Fortino Vasquez Tepeco, Jorge Aguilera, and Pedro Rodriguez Vasquez.

The four men were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.  The other workers in the van sustained minor injuries.  They were taken by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.
