Dogs from November 3 pit bull attack in Bakersfield being put down
On November 3 Steven Herrera was brutally mauled by three pit bulls in east Bakersfield. The attack was caught on tape and the dogs were later impounded. The owner of the dogs, Salvador Romero, did not have the money to get the dogs back. Because of the nature of the attack, the dogs are not being put up for adoption, but are rather being euthanized. Steven Herrera mauled by pit bulls in Bakersfield
November 3, 2009--A 35 year old Bakersfield man named Steven Herrera was attacked and mauled by 3 pit bull dogs on Tuesday afternoon. The Kern County attack is similar to several other pip bull attacks in the valley as reported on recently in this blog. In this case Mr. Herrera was saved by the efforts of a neighbor named Andy Casteneda who swung his cane at the dogs before they could chew the arm off of the victim. The owner of the dogs, Salvador Romero is the brother of the victim. www.nelsonrozier.com
