Visalia Senior Abuse
Attorney John L. Rozier has the following update; A high speed car accident took place in Kern County, early Monday, July 7, 2014. The vehicle collision occurred on Highway 99, in Bakersfield.
The California Highway Patrol said that they had tried to pull over an automobile for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The driver drove off onto Highway 58, traveling west, and then merging onto the 99 freeway north.
The car attempted to exit onto Rosedale Highway, but drove off the exit ramp, and rolled over down the embankment.
A man and woman were trapped inside the vehicle after the crash, and emergency crews had to extricate them.
Both people were injured and taken to Kern Medical Center, in Bakersfield, for treatment.
