On Friday, April 3, 2015, a postal truck collision fatally wounded an 18-month-old child, in Porterville. The Tulare County vehicle accident took place at approximately 1:30 PM, in the Delta Street area of the city.
A United States Mail truck was traveling on Delta St. and Aurora Avenue, dropping of mail. The truck struck a toddler boy and seriously injured him. The Porterville Police have reported that the truck was not driving at a high rate of speed when the accident happened.
The little boy was rushed to the hospital by an emergency vehicle. He was pronounced dead a short time later in the medical center.
