On December 14 a San Fernando man was killed when he was thrown from his vehicle during an accident on I-5 near Coalinga. The accident occurred around 2 pm south of Jayne Avenue. The man, reportedly, was not wearing a seat belt. He was air lifted to Community Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The man was driving northbound on I-5 when he swerved to avoid hitting a semi truck. This caused his van to roll over in the center median.
