October 18, 2011- Northbound Highway 99 was shut down for almost three hours Tuesday after a big rig accident leaves a big mess all over the freeway.
The crash which happened near Merle Haggard Drive in Bakersfield, occurred at about 4 PM. It involved a semi truck carrying gypsum and at least four other vehicles. The big rig overturned in the collision and spilled the gypsum on the roadway.
No one was seriously injured in the accident.
Traffic was backed up for miles in both directions of the highway, as crews removed the vehicles and cleaned up the gypsum.
The CHP are investigating the crash.
If you need legal help for this accident, please call Attorney John Rozier 559-713-0159. I am located north of Bakersfield, in Visalia.
